When I wrote the song, it was a comment on the danger that apathy & lack of communication (until it's too late) poses to any relationship. Which is a pattern we can all too easily fall into over time.
We, instead, should look to the truth in our partners' eyes everyday--and show the truth in our own--before they eventually say what we don't want to hear...
You make a good video! Powerful but understated. Echoes of Anni diFranco, but sound like you can do Joni Mitchell when you want to.
