that happens on the ground with the A320 due to rain water flowing down from the tail on the lower fuselage over the radio altimeter antennas. our operator has a bulletin to put silicone grease on the fuselage just aft of the rad alt to stop the water and this happening
@thomsonfly645k nope, its for the pilot to know to idle the throttles when he/she is at a specific height above the runway, it is for the flare. The plane says "retard" to let the pilot know when to idel the throttles depending on speed, weight, and flap config.
Being familiar to the A32X serries, can you answer a questionf or me? Is the master warning a single continuous dinging (like a looping master caution) or a triad/cav charge like the A/P disconnect?
Here I heard it as the first option, but I wasn't sure if it was situation dependent.
@matoy77 Retard doesn't means that the pilot is a retard in English , its a French word means late , that means you have to Idle the thrust leveller , like landing
@killmuster In English, to "retard" something means to slow it down/stop it. So yes, it's telling the pilots they have the throttles set above idle when landing.
I think all that status info on the eicas should be replaced by "WELL, YOU FUCKED UP GOOD NOW, RETARD."

isn't this the overspeed warning? most airbus planes have a safety feature to stop you exceeding the max speed

@1023894am that's what the callout is for but i meant the CRC master warning which i think is for overspeed
thomsonfly645k 6 months ago
@thomsonfly645k oh, I'm sorry then. Yes that is the overspeed.
