@williamlynd2 In the beginning of the video you can see the aircraft flying high and makes a turn.. thats the abort. After that he made a second attempt and landed (I'm not British or American or something and I hope that my English is not so bad :) )
People who dislike videos like this always blow my mind. 4 people disliked this..and probably did it for a joke..I cant see what there is not to like about this video. Well filmed, its to the point. And the title isnt misleading like in many others. Please excuse my rant..just needed to say it! lol Nice video :)
Why don't the pilots retract gear on the go around procedure. Whenever I perform a go around on the 737 in training, always retract gear until final landing clearance.
@addi138 Well the configuration varies on every flight, but I can give you a ballpark idea. Once the go around instruction has been giving immediately pull up and climb to altitude on your flightplan. Ex : 3000ft, then fly the traffic circuit of that runway and make sure gear is up and then retract flaps depending with your speed. Happy flying!
@Deltapilot96 A tripod is a thing you have your camera on. It helps you to get a steady picture or a steady video. They often have three "legs" and you can change height of the tripod. Instead to get a shaky video/picture, you will get a steady picture/video. You can also search after tripod on google, then you will see some pictures. I hope you know what I mean=)
@ThePlanespotter1 sorry, I uploaded a comment and then it stood OK with green letters. Then I clicked "Cancel" but didn't understand I deleted the comment. I know what a tripod is now, figured it out a while ago. Thanks anyways :)
He said A KLM Boeing 737-300 aborts a first landing attempt on runway 23R at Manchester Airport before making a successful second attempt. The reason for the aborted landing was wind sheer. ----5*
Wind Sheer? Do you mean Wind Shear? Rubbish.
It was windy & gusty but not the conditions for Wind Shear.
