Peter you simply cannot make such disingenuous accusations as a non-competitive athlete. You are hardly in a position to criticize a man who has achieved so much when you have achieved so little. Whichever way we look at your behaviour it smacks of sour grapes.
Peter is the King Canute of YouTube. He thinks by sheer force of will he can turn the tide of public opinion. Peter may prefer the heavy smooth appearance of Sergio and that’s his prerogative. However Peter wants to take his preference, his subjective view and force it upon everyone else. He insults anyone whose opinion differs from his in a most insulting and dictatorial manner. His character traits are reminiscent of Stalin, Hitler, Genghis Khan, Caligula et al.
Peter has reached an impasse, a plateau if you will where he currently festers. He is becoming gradually less congruent and more irascible by the day. He presents as a miserable codger, an old tired and disgruntled man striking out with no direction of focus. Intellectually outclassed our tormented friend swings wildly, missing the mark and dizzying himself in the process. He no longer even pretends to address my argument.
Forced to make an ad hoc diagnosis I’d have Peter sent for a PET scan. In particular I’d measure activity within the dopaminergic pathway (mesolimbic). I predict an abundance of D2 (dopamine) receptors typically evident in the brains of paranoid schizophrenics. Peter sees conspiracy everywhere and like all conspiracy theorists he has his ‘Holy Grail’ the Mr Olympia 1980. Far more controversial competition results do not even get a mention underscoring his fixation.
Peter’s attempts to anger are becoming ever more frantic and crude, more befitting a thug than a man in late middle age. This was of course not wholly unexpected. Peter’s attempts to portray the erudite intellectual bombed as surely as his attempts to decry Arnold physique have done. One is hardly likely to concern oneself over his infantile tantrums and hissy fits.
Peter insists on using infantile tactics to try and antagonize. This only provides amusement to those of us who possess cognizance in matters appertaining to human psychology. Without mediation and sage council Peter will continue his one man mission to deny the reality of this physical world. Trapped within the constructs of a conflicted mind Peter sees conspiracy everywhere and adopts a besieged mentality. Whist one might admire his tenacity one also feels sympathy for his family.
Peter doggedly continues to pursue his hate fuelled agenda with no consideration of the consequences. His deteriorating mental well-being is evident in the peripatetic nature of his recent comments. His instinctive aggressive and uncontrolled reaction to empirical facts vis-á-vis Arnold’s many victories has left the man non compos mentis.
Unfortunately Peter has not matured. Within infants we call this stubborn refusal to accept the real world as the violation of expectation. Peter wants the world to bend and fold to his selfish desire. Of course as we develop we come to understand compromise and pragmatism however Peter is stuck in a developmental loop. He endlessly recites his frustrated mantra and shouts at the Moon.
So Peter all the diatribe you spewed about Dickerson being the rightful winner in 1980 was clap trap was it? Remember how you waxed lyrical about Dickerson being robbed? Remember all your references as to how Dickerson was given a trophy by the Australian people to right the wrong? Against this backdrop you now claim Mentzer should have won. Try and be consistent if you want people to treat you as rational Peter.
Peter is a walking contradiction. He argued up and down the houses that Dickerson should have won the Olympia in 1980 and now he claims Mike should have won it. Come on Peter you'd have placed 'turtle' backed Boyer Coe ahead of Arnold you're so bitter!
Mike's lack of pectoral size and shape left him looking very shallow and small when stood next to Arnold in 1980. His huge forearms and triceps overshadowed his delts and traps. His legs were big but lacked separation again destroying any chance of competing against the best.

Sorry. Arnold never squatted over 500 lbs. That's wishful thinking. Arnold's best squat (and that was his powerlifting best of one rep) was only 473 lbs. Shit. I got guys training at my gym that tower over 6ft 3 that squat over 500 for reps! One of them is a male entertainer. Ken Waller and Dennis Tinerino (675 lbs) both 6ft. could squat more than Arnold ever could. Arnold was weak training legs and that's all there was to it.
It's possible that he wasn't able to do squat 500lbs (there's no pic proof anyhow). There is a pic of him where he does squats with 400lbs and in another 420lbs, probably for reps. The main point is that the weight was heavy enough for HIM to constitute a HIT type of workout. It's irrelevant what kind of weight the other guys could or could not perform in the gym - weight is just a number.
Though it's impressive to be able to move heavier weights than anyone else, it makes no difference when it comes to the bodybuilding stage - Arnold's legs were visually better than the legs of the guys that you mentioned.
I bet you that the 6'3 clothes hanger would not dare to stand side by side with 70-75 Arnold, for a direct leg comparison. There is reason why he's in the male entertainment business, and not a bodybuilding champion.

Forced to make an ad hoc diagnosis I’d have Peter sent for a PET scan. In particular I’d measure activity within the dopaminergic pathway (mesolimbic). I predict an abundance of D2 (dopamine) receptors typically evident in the brains of paranoid schizophrenics. Peter sees conspiracy everywhere and like all conspiracy theorists he has his ‘Holy Grail’ the Mr Olympia 1980. Far more controversial competition results do not even get a mention underscoring his fixation.

Mike's lack of pectoral size and shape left him looking very shallow and small when stood next to Arnold in 1980. His huge forearms and triceps overshadowed his delts and traps. His legs were big but lacked separation again destroying any chance of competing against the best.

Again, you make the cardinal error of context dropping; you quote Gibson, Woods, Pitt etal but then forget the worst part of all is not the initial affair but the child being brought up under the nose of his wife and children through marriage, for over a decade. Arnold wasn't stupid-he knew that very heavy back squats for him would be counter-productive,resulting in larger upper thighs and building more muscle around the hips and glutes.
No doubt Gironda,and NOT Weider,told him this.
He can be seen squatting in Pumping Iron with relatively light weights,with feet fairly close together,to take the stress off upper thigh and on his quads.
Hacks the Gironda way would have been still better,but perhaps he did those too.

Its very doubtful that Arnold even squatting 600 for reps would have given him any more mass-it might have spread his hips even wider.
In fact his legs improved under Gironda without squatting.
His genes stopped him gaining size,not his training.

Sorry. Arnold never squatted over 500 lbs. That's wishful thinking. Arnold's best squat (and that was his powerlifting best of one rep) was only 473 lbs. Shit. I got guys training at my gym that tower over 6ft 3 that squat over 500 for reps! One of them is a male entertainer. Ken Waller and Dennis Tinerino (675 lbs) both 6ft. could squat more than Arnold ever could. Arnold was weak training legs and that's all there was to it.

It's possible that he wasn't able to do squat 500lbs (there's no pic proof anyhow). There is a pic of him where he does squats with 400lbs and in another 420lbs, probably for reps. The main point is that the weight was heavy enough for HIM to constitute a HIT type of workout. It's irrelevant what kind of weight the other guys could or could not perform in the gym - weight is just a number.
