  • He looks like Haggar from Final Fight

  • Peter’s recent banal and infantile comments can only be interpreted as a tacit admission of defeat. Peter’s arguments (such as they are) do not hold water unlike a certain bulky Cuban. I found Synergistic to be articulate and rational in stark contrast to Peter who appears to be regressing into a childlike state. Peter is a veritable Benjamin Button. Whilst I find the transition interesting my sympathies lie with his family at this time.

  • Peter is using repression to try and prop up a mental schema he has constructed. In a vain attempt to deny reality Peter has concocted an elaborate conspiracy to explain his idols defeat in competition. He has suffered humiliation by association and subsequently seeks revenge. Too cowardly to stare reality in the face he has buried the truth under a pile of falsified assumptions. He knows he’s playing mind games and this in turn has lead to his cognitive dissonance.

  • @BiodegradeableMan aw thats a cool story bro

  • @mrbong123 Were it just a story or musing no one would be happier than I. Unfortunately Peter is a man crushed by jealousy and frustration. Peter is a man enraged by the hand fate has dealt him. I see what you mean, the key ingredients for a tragic story are certainly there.

  • @BiodegradeableMan Most riveting tale my good chum most jovially referred to by the title of BiodegradeableMan

  • @mrbong123 That's a heady compliment coming from Mr Bong!

  • @BiodegradeableMan dont smoke weed any false pretenses you might have of my person are quickly and verily dismissed :D

  • @mrbong123 How fascinating, you push a persona diametrically opposed to your true character. Methinks we have much in common.

  • @BiodegradeableMan false the origin of my youtube screen name has absolutely nothing to do with my character of personal lifestyle preferences nor will i disclose why i bear that screename to a man whom which i readily know very scarce about

  • @mrbong123 Relax, kick back, suck on that bong and don't be so sensitive.

  • @mrbong123 Ok stay stressed but its a fruitless exercise my friend.

  • @mrbong123 Ok stay stressed but be aware of the damage you're doing to yourself.

  • @BiodegradeableMan Unless... unless of course you wish to continue this delightful discussion further perhaps with the intentions and aspirations of a future friendship therein i might reconsider.

  • @BiodegradeableMan Unless... unless of course you wish to continue this delightful discussion further perhaps with the intentions and aspirations of a future friendship therein i might reconsider.

  • Mentzer-easy winner in '80-awful decision.

  • He died at 51.

  • Peter you simply cannot make such disingenuous accusations as a non-competitive athlete. You are hardly in a position to criticize a man who has achieved so much when you have achieved so little. Whichever way we look at your behaviour it smacks of sour grapes.

  • Sergio? This is about Mentzer-try to keep up old fella :D

  • Peter is the King Canute of YouTube. He thinks by sheer force of will he can turn the tide of public opinion. Peter may prefer the heavy smooth appearance of Sergio and that’s his prerogative. However Peter wants to take his preference, his subjective view and force it upon everyone else. He insults anyone whose opinion differs from his in a most insulting and dictatorial manner. His character traits are reminiscent of Stalin, Hitler, Genghis Khan, Caligula et al.

  • Still no hobby then.

  • Peter has reached an impasse, a plateau if you will where he currently festers. He is becoming gradually less congruent and more irascible by the day. He presents as a miserable codger, an old tired and disgruntled man striking out with no direction of focus. Intellectually outclassed our tormented friend swings wildly, missing the mark and dizzying himself in the process. He no longer even pretends to address my argument.

  • Ah ok-still no hobby.

  • Forced to make an ad hoc diagnosis I’d have Peter sent for a PET scan. In particular I’d measure activity within the dopaminergic pathway (mesolimbic). I predict an abundance of D2 (dopamine) receptors typically evident in the brains of paranoid schizophrenics. Peter sees conspiracy everywhere and like all conspiracy theorists he has his ‘Holy Grail’ the Mr Olympia 1980. Far more controversial competition results do not even get a mention underscoring his fixation.

  • Still no hobby, our resident troll?

  • Peter’s attempts to anger are becoming ever more frantic and crude, more befitting a thug than a man in late middle age. This was of course not wholly unexpected. Peter’s attempts to portray the erudite intellectual bombed as surely as his attempts to decry Arnold physique have done. One is hardly likely to concern oneself over his infantile tantrums and hissy fits.

  • Peter insists on using infantile tactics to try and antagonize. This only provides amusement to those of us who possess cognizance in matters appertaining to human psychology. Without mediation and sage council Peter will continue his one man mission to deny the reality of this physical world. Trapped within the constructs of a conflicted mind Peter sees conspiracy everywhere and adopts a besieged mentality. Whist one might admire his tenacity one also feels sympathy for his family.

  • Oh no,our resident psychopath is once more talking to himself.

Hearing voices my little fat friend?

Listen to the one that tells you to get a hobby lol

  • Agreed, Peter did seem to have gained a semblance of self control but unfortunately his neurosis appears to have re-surfaced with a vengeance.

  • Easy win for Mentzer in '80.A decision which ranks with 70,72 and 81 as amongst the worst.

  • Peter doggedly continues to pursue his hate fuelled agenda with no consideration of the consequences. His deteriorating mental well-being is evident in the peripatetic nature of his recent comments. His instinctive aggressive and uncontrolled reaction to empirical facts vis-á-vis Arnold’s many victories has left the man non compos mentis.

  • Mike "Nandrolone" Mentzer :D

  • "Aqualine"?? LOL!

  • Unfortunately Peter has not matured. Within infants we call this stubborn refusal to accept the real world as the violation of expectation. Peter wants the world to bend and fold to his selfish desire. Of course as we develop we come to understand compromise and pragmatism however Peter is stuck in a developmental loop. He endlessly recites his frustrated mantra and shouts at the Moon.

  • Oh dear, our resident homosexual troll is telling his little porkies again lol

Tell us more of Arnold being, and I quote "Aqualine"LMAO!

  • So Peter all the diatribe you spewed about Dickerson being the rightful winner in 1980 was clap trap was it? Remember how you waxed lyrical about Dickerson being robbed? Remember all your references as to how Dickerson was given a trophy by the Australian people to right the wrong? Against this backdrop you now claim Mentzer should have won. Try and be consistent if you want people to treat you as rational Peter.

  • Mentzer-easy winner in '80 :D

  • Peter is a walking contradiction. He argued up and down the houses that Dickerson should have won the Olympia in 1980 and now he claims Mike should have won it. Come on Peter you'd have placed 'turtle' backed Boyer Coe ahead of Arnold you're so bitter!

  • holly crap. Jerry Seinfeld got buff....

  • Mike was the original "nerd bodybuilder". Really smart guy.

  • Why Why Why Why Why gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy music

  • The true 1980 Mr Olympia!

  • Mike's lack of pectoral size and shape left him looking very shallow and small when stood next to Arnold in 1980. His huge forearms and triceps overshadowed his delts and traps. His legs were big but lacked separation again destroying any chance of competing against the best.

  • @BiodegradeableMan anrold looked like shit and is a bad person as well

  • @BOKNOWSCOMPUTERS And don't you wish you looked like shit too!

  • Nice sausage... rofl.

  • mike valeu, deu sua contribuição para nossa evolução.......descanse em paz amigo.

  • ЛУчшие качки это качки семидесятых. Золотой век бодибилдинга

  • @ironhorse256 ....tribute to a giant huge an all you notice is dick....wow

  • @ironhorse256

first off the penis is a muscle second of all most of the viewers are chicks and they like dick so .... whats the big deal?

  • @coupe3kgt The penis is NOT a muscle.

  • @steroidsR4acne

your right its a skeleton covered in fat.

  • And on and on and on..

    Verdict-no life :D

  • @Peter9761 Peter I do so enjoy our proto-conversations and I hope you do too! This form of semi-structured interplay I’ve initiated gives you the experience of actually taking part in comprehensible dialogue. This of course will hopefully form a precursor to conversation proper. In time I hope to converse with you as I would an erudite adult. With Neil this process is futile I fear, our ill-tempered friend having hardly mastered techniques such as ‘turn taking’ let alone abstract concepts.

  • On and on and on it trolls-where it will stop, nobody knows :)

Amazing how rarely it posts about bodybuilding-not something its familiar with.

  • @Peter9761 Read the comment below yours Peter.

  • la music est nuuuuul

  • Whats this music? how now?

  • @pe6obutilkata ..........a bit.........

  • Yes Arnold has been a naughty boy; still he’s in good company. Married men screwing around? How about Mel Gibson, Tiger Woods, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Bruce Springstein and Woody Allen? How about good old Jack Nicholson a famous womanizer and yep, you guessed it he an illegitimate child with a mistress whist married, shock horror!

  • gay f^ckin music bra

  • Why the gay music?

  • As far the 6ft 3 clothes hanger fellow--he's no Arnold that's for sure, but he outweighs Arnold by almost fifty pounds! He's a monster.

  • No,Arnold lacked quad mass-this should be obvious.

Trolling? No this is talking about bodybuilding, not something you can contribute to.

Trolling is what you do :D

  • @Peter9761 Come on Peter let’s not lose our composure and start trying to demean a man who accomplished so much. Whatever your personal gripes Arnold applied himself and history stands testament to his dedication and unwavering self believe in the face of adversity. Remember Peter this man was told he would never be an actor! Give the man his dues.

  • As a politician he certainly left California with a larger deficit then the one he inherited, And his dedication and self belief nerver applied to his wife and family, not only numbeousaffairs, and long tern one, even bringing the child up around his own family. The lowest of the low.

  • @SYNERGISTIC123 This is disappointing coming from you; it’s the sort of ill-considered personal attack I'd expect from an embittered dullard like Neil. Arnold had a dalliance with another woman like countless millions of married men are doing right this very second. Do you really think that makes him...“the lowest of the low?” You’re inferring Arnold is worse than rapists, serial killers, paedophiles and drug dealers! Come on mate rise above the sour grapes.

  • Take a reality check here!!! Millions of married men having affairs? Of course. What makes him the lowest of the low is covertly raising that child with his wife and kids, with the child's mother also in the house on the payroll. An infinitesimally small proportion doing that I would suggest you.

  • Disappointing coming from me? Hardly. Quite the opposite. Your comment amazes me. Bodybuilding is one matter, and extra-marital affairs another - Arnold's duplicity with his wife and family over an extended period of time was beyond the pale. Please don't lower your stock trying to defend the indefensible.

  • @SYNERGISTIC123 Millions of rich married men (especially politicians) have mistresses and bastard children. Most pay out for the abortion rather than risk maintenance payments, Arnold slipped up there agreed! However my point was the outrageous claim of yours that Arnold is “the lowest of the low.” Do you honestly consider Arnold worse than rapists, murderers, paedophiles, serial killers and drug dealers?

  • No, "slipping up" is a burst condom or such like during a sling, not over a decade of treachery, that's another world entirely.

  • Incorrect, You are free to draw your own objective conclusions. Again, you make the cardinal error of context dropping; you quote Gibson, Woods, Pitt etal but then forget the worst part of all is not the initial affair but the child being brought up under the nose of his wife and children through marriage, for over a decade. If you cannot see that, you are worthy of no further consideration i.e. to be summarily dismissed.

  • @SYNERGISTIC123 Oh dear here we have a man talking 'context' and yet he would describe Arnold as "the lowest of the low." When challenged to clarify that statement in the 'context' of rapists, muderers, serial killers and paedophiles et al, what does he do? Nothing, QED!

  • @SYNERGISTIC123 I also mentioned Nicholson who you conveniently 'forgot' to cite in your rebuttal, surprise surprise. Nicholson had a bastard child whilst married and he behaved in much the same way Arnold did. Now using your logic are we to retrospectively withdraw the man's Oscar's and call him a mediocre actor? In your desperation to rubbish Arnold you have exaggerated his misdemeanours and presented them as akin to a World First!

  • @SYNERGISTIC123 Seriously though, it is enjoyable to talk to someone who has expanded his command of the English language to encompass more than “The Cat Sat on the Mat.” My two erstwhile interlocutors were less than coherent to put it mildly. I suppose I had expected more from Peter and with Neil it‘s all too easy to anthropomorphise. You have a solid intellect don’t squander it festering over irreversible historical facts?

  • 1:12 shows Mentzer's upper thighs-overdeveloped due to heavy squatting and leg press. His rectus femoris in particular. With that not developed up high his lower thigh appears bigger, due to his upper thigh being smaller.

  • Arnold wasn't stupid-he knew that very heavy back squats for him would be counter-productive,resulting in larger upper thighs and building more muscle around the hips and glutes.

No doubt Gironda, and NOT Weider, told him this.

He can be seen squatting in Pumping Iron with relatively light weights, with feet fairly close together,to take the stress off upper thigh and on his quads.

Hacks the Gironda way would have been still better, but perhaps he did those too.

  • Its very doubtful that Arnold even squatting 600 for reps would have given him any more mass-it might have spread his hips even wider.

In fact his legs improved under Gironda without squatting.

His genes stopped him gaining size, not his training.

  • @Peter9761 Very funny Peter now go to the footage of Arnold on 1970 and look at those quads as he strode onto the stage! You can't stand the fact that he outsmarted the likes of Sergio, Waller, Ferrigno et al. Arnold paid attention to detail and it separated him from the pack. That my friend is a fact however distasteful you find it. Three posts in quick fire succession? Easy Peter you'll be accused of trolling.......

  • I speak for ALL-Mr Retards uploads have zero merit.

Best type that again-I speak for ALL on this point :D

  • Sorry. Arnold never squatted over 500 lbs. That's wishful thinking. Arnold's best squat (and that was his powerlifting best of one rep) was only 473 lbs. Shit. I got guys training at my gym that tower over 6ft 3 that squat over 500 for reps! One of them is a male entertainer. Ken Waller and Dennis Tinerino (675 lbs) both 6ft. could squat more than Arnold ever could. Arnold was weak training legs and that's all there was to it.

  • It's possible that he wasn't able to do squat 500lbs (there's no pic proof anyhow). There is a pic of him where he does squats with 400lbs and in another 420lbs, probably for reps. The main point is that the weight was heavy enough for HIM to constitute a HIT type of workout. It's irrelevant what kind of weight the other guys could or could not perform in the gym - weight is just a number.

  • Though it's impressive to be able to move heavier weights than anyone else, it makes no difference when it comes to the bodybuilding stage - Arnold's legs were visually better than the legs of the guys that you mentioned.

  • I bet you that the 6'3 clothes hanger would not dare to stand side by side with 70-75 Arnold, for a direct leg comparison. There is reason why he's in the male entertainment business, and not a bodybuilding champion.

  • @Farshad86 Ha ha, to true!
