I agree with all of you but for 1 thing: religion. Don't relate ''GoD'' to what humans are doing. Anyway..know about ''The man who planted trees'' ???
again brilliant. I'll be honest my friend. I was a vegetarian until I met my Filippino wife and visited her country. People were so poor they beg for food in the street. Are they wrong to eat meat? I felt hypocritical and stopped it. I didn't want to say to my wife "we don't eat meat" when her family have so little food. In an ideal world, which I really appreciate YOU are trying to create, we can follow our belief but is the world ideal?
Thanks for your comment. Meat consumption is part of the problem of world hunger. In order to produce 1 pound of beef 10 times as much grain is fed to the animal. Grain that could directly feed lots of people. And consider this: There are 21 billion farm animals on earth. We feed them instead of feeding our people. What a waste! We cannot feed the whole world on a meat based diet! This world was not meant to be a slaughterhouse. But it almost is.
18% of greenhouse gas emissions comes from animal agriculture (FAO report). The main cause of gobal warming is meat consumption! And this could end our life on earth very soon. Mother Earth cannot take the mass-killing any more. I have posted videos on diet and climate change and about hunger in the world. Somewhere each of us has to begin to save this world. Otherwise we talk until it is too late.
And do not forsake your soul! Your soul is divine. And killing, directly or indirectly, is against the law of the universe. That is why we suffer. We transgressed this law and we have to pay for it. This world is ruled by the law of cause and effect, by the law of karma. As you sow so shall you reap. Your soul does not belong here. Your soul is from the divine. Try to find your way back to the source!
You already were a vegetarian. That means you have compassion, you care for the innocent creatures. But then you saw hungry people and started eating meat again. Out of what? Out of compassion? But who wins? Nobody I think: The hungry stay hungry because of wasting precious resources and the poor animal is dead. My friend, you are a noble being. And somewhere each of us has to begin to save the planet, don't you think? Do not let the world drag you down!

Don't need the nonsense moralizing about not eating meat or drinking wine .... the "thou shalt not" stuff doesn't impress me or other people ..

@tranquilocito The problem with the world, regardless of what anyone eats, is that there are too many PEOPLE...
