  • Did you say in the mid 60's, or did you mean the MOD 60's?

  • Little Stevie was so fine!

  • Listen carefully, and you can hear her screaming at him to p*** off.

  • George seems to be more than a bit interested in the dancer on the far left.

  • @mwolf49 that's George Young

  • Jill Anderson - are you out there???????

  • @mwolf49 No its his brother George Young. Check out Vanda & Young

  • The singer's upper body's gonna sue his legs for non-support.

  • Had they been american he would have!!!

  • @Spartacus217 The singer is Stevie Wright, a living legend in Australia

  • I love those crazy dancing girls

  • I wanna be there !!!

  • naw, I thinkg george young or harry vanda

  • They should do a gig now. I'd go and I know quite a few that would follow.

  • @LastTree They did a re-union gig in 1986, it was awesome......

  • guitars high enough?

  • AWESOME!!!

  • I'm sure the Go-Go dancers were doing a thing the 'Rag Doll'.

  • Called 'The Rag Doll'.

  • Ding Dong was an excellent Go - Go Dancer thats for sure. (Probably still is)

  • The Easybeats were Australia's answer to the Beatles. They were a great band in their own right. I got to see them in Brisbane and they were a high energy band, fueled by the screams of their fans. Long time ago!

  • Lovely jubblies!

  • None of these guys were born in Australia. God bless.

  • I met these guys in 67 when they played Bath Pavillion, they were great, such cool memories.

  • Well Stevie sure looks different from when he he is singing Friday on my mind!

  • I first saw the Easybeats at the old 2UW Theatre in 1964 02 65' before they came out with their first record. It was called "For my Woman" and featured a lot of tremeloe. They followed that up with She's So Fine and all those other great songs. I saw them live quite a few times . Great Group.

  • Before "Friday On My Mind" they had these hits in Australia. 1965 "She's So Fine" No.1 1965 "For My Woman" No.5 1965 "Wedding Ring" No13. 1965 "Sad Lonely And Blue No.24 1966 "Women" No7. 1966 "Come and See Her" No.10 1966 "I'll make You Happy" No.7 1966 "Sorry" No.1 1966 EP "Easyfever" 1965 Album "Easy" 1966 'It's 2 Easy" All this before "Friday On My Mind" Get hold of their CD "Absolute Anthology"
  • A great band...My cousins dated two of them when they were in London. I can remember being stoked.

  • A great band indeed to come out of OZ, out of its ashes would emerge another great Aussie band-AC/DC. (Angus Young is the younger brother of the guitarist in the Easybeats)

  • Malcolm Young who is also in AC/DC is George Young's younger brother as well. He was the one that actually formed AC/DC.

  • and malcolm's better than angus

  • I totally agree Mal is my favorite member of AC/DC he's a much tighter guitarist. In fact I personally think that he's the best rhythm guitarist next to Ron Wood from the Stones.

  • i sooo agree with you there... malcolm young is one awesome rythm guitarist or jsut a guitarist in general...hes awesome

  • check how high they play their guitars. fucking great band.

  • Where are your comments?

  • Stevie really rules!

  • too bad Stevie had mental problems. Mick jagger would be in a distant second place as best lead.

  • sure thats not james browns white cousin

  • If you think Stevie Wright was good, check out Johnny O'keefe, (The Great J O'K ). Steve Irwin on acid! (Johnny O'Keefe 'Shout' vid).

  • thanks will try to find him on u tube.

  • There were so many great artists and songs that were heard only in Australia in the 1960's and 70's.

The Easybeats, The Loved Ones,Johnny O'Keefe, Daddy Cool,John Farnham etc. all world class acts.

  • the boogie woogie boys from down under show em how it's done

  • Classic sound of the sixties! too bad I never heard this great song back then....

  • ANd MALCOMS!!

  • Excellent go-go dancers!!

  • I'm pretty sure this is from an old show called Saturday Date which was hosted by Jimmy Hannan, it certainly looks like it to me. Does anyone else remember this show?

I saw an identical clip to this on the Billy Thorpe This is Your Life last night and it was introduced as being from Saturday Date.

  • No - it was from a show that used to be on Channel 7 called "It"s All Happening". I actually saw the Easybeats performing this song (and many others)live at the Sydney Town Hall in 1968. I'm 57 yeras old and played in a band myself back then.

  • is that stevie's pube on the lens?

  • Hey man, I think this was taken from Brian Anderson's show: "Bandstand." Great, great clip. I dig.

  • Stevie Wright is a drug addict now.

  • Thanks for the update big guy.

  • Nah, Stevie has been clean for YEARS(I'm VERY happy to say)! :)
