  • I chopped my Magpul BAD lever where it 90'ed to the right. Now I can operate it with my left hand trigger finger. I like using it.

  • plastic

  • Or just shoulder it with force like a man and send the bolt home

  • @GunWebsites thanks

  • What kind of optic is that

  • @bbhuffman1

    Aimpoint T1

  • A company called AXTS makes a lower receiver that is totally ambidextrous. I have not heard very much about the company as far as whether they make a good product or if their just a bunch of guys with a CNC machine but I'd choose the ambi lower over all that strangeness.

  • @freekazoid05 ya i would to but that lower cost $430 this probably cost less than $20

  • I've got a B.A.D. and I usually drop the bolt with my left hand, although it's much faster if I actively remind myself to use my trigger finger.

  • Why LMT?

  • @MMAFANATlC LMT, Colt, and BCM are the best civilian ar15's because they are manufactured as close to mil spec as possible.

  • @bnut70

    Noveske and Daniel Defense.

  • I see you're a jedi :P

  • I shoot and write left handed :D

  • Damn good Idea. Where could i order one?

  • What gloves are those? simple design that I like!

  • That is NOT a "left-handed" AR-15. It has ambidextrous features but it ejects the cartridges in the common manner, to the right side. It's a tricked out AR-15 with ambidextrous features, that's all. My Stag Arms 2HL upper makes my AR-15 a "left-handed" AR-15--even without the BAD leaver. ;-)

I like the video, though. I've been sorta interested in getting a BAD lever for a while. I'm concerned about the clearance for the left-hand ejection port cover, though, the BAD ads width to the switch.

  • yeah the BAD lever works.

  • while qualifying in basic with a standard m16 I had six go down my shirt in the pron and four or five off the right shoulder while standing that and all gas from the ejection port is right there in the face mmm... taste great less filling

  • so is it G.O.O.D. ?

    zink

  • @jedediahRed I shoot left handed and I've never been hit with a casing, i actually find it easier to shoot an ar15 or ak47 left handed, just personal experience. but when shooting my bolt action I do find it harder to cycle the action when my face is in the way lol

  • Ha but the age old problem for left handers...You still get hit in the face by seering hot cases being ejected right in front of your firing eye...learn how to shoot right handed! lmao

  • Wow this is a great invention. Its a hassle locking the bolt back to the rear manually.

  • Thanks for the video. Being a left handed shooter, I'm always looking for ways to make my life easier. I thought "well I'll never need the BAD lever" cuz I was a lefty, but you changed my mind! I always considered it easier to change mags as a lefty, now it looks even easier.

  • what is the name of that mag release devise u have? but do you recommend for a lefthand shooter for the magazine release, for as a brand?

  • what type of micro red dot do u have on ur m4

  • When firing pistols do you prefer to leave the Mag release on the left side or do you switch it to the right if the gun allows?

  • @Thegarmendia

Always leave them on the left

  • @GunWebsites what kind of red dot is that?

  • @KTdevilDOG

    Aimpoint T1

  • What kind of stock is that and where did you get it?

  • Shot m-16s for 22 years in Marines, and always qualified expert never had an issue.with left-hand or.right hand shooting with m203 or m60 machine gun or fifty cal or shotgun or.pistol or grenades or laws rocket or a.t.4. Or claymores or any other DAMN weapon .. if your a warrior then act like one and learn your weapons.from weak side and strongside. And be proficient.

  • @shootload1911 aahhhmeen!!!!

  • @shootload1911 Sounds like your a person that douse not like change.

  • Damn, want some gun with your Magpul?

  • @MadLegit360

I saw only a few magpul items.....

Looks like a lot of tangodown

  • @MadLegit360 Actually the only parts on that gun that are Magpul are the rail guards and the B.A.D. lever (and his pmag). Just because it's the same color doesn't mean it's the same brand.

  • im proud to be a left handed shooter, but it has its troubles. Ar15 it perfect for me though. it has a deflector for shells, as well as being semi auto, so no difficult right handed designed acion. the charging handle is on center and just as easy from either side.

  • If you're an active LEO, and you made a SBR for law enforcement purposes would it still have to be registered?

  • @ThaBR33D

    yes

  • @GunWebsites You guys know everything!

  • @GunWebsites what left handed mods do you have and do they have them for the m4

  • @ThaBR33D Thats funny, I know a few cops who have non stamped personal SBR's would love to call the ATF and report those guns.

  • @ASCBLUEYE What do you mean non stamped? I.E. No form 4?

  • cool more stuff to put on my gun... Thanks Chris I need more stuff to be cool.

  • Excelent instruction, and beutifull gun

  • I'm so glad I'm right handed, being left handed just seems like it would suck cause everything is geared toward right handers.

  • @pontiacmaniac2 funny you should say that because im a leffty shooter, and I like all the right handed parts on guns, lol, im so used to them now, I dont think I would be able to properly operate a left handed AR-15, or AK-47

  • @pontiacmaniac2 You can get ambi parts for everything important on an AR relatively cheaply. Bolt release, mag release, safety selector and charging handle just over $100 total. You'd still have brass flying across your face, but the brass deflector should keep that from being a real problem. Still, you can even get uppers with the ejection port on the left side if you're willing to spend a little more money. The rifle in this video has a righty charging handle. No big deal for a lefty shooter?

  • Thumbs up if you bought Art of the Tactical Carbine.

  • the bad lever is almost necessary with a redi mag.

  • finally i lefty shooter who makes good vids *so subbed

  • Damn.... Even tho it would help, i think i'd be confused in a fight, imma just hang to my old C7A2 haha.

  • Nice gloves, What gloves are you those?

  • Great video Very informative

  • Great video. For informative

  • what does sopmod mean ? its on cod 4 and i dont know what it means inbox me plz :)

  • @LemmingxiiG4M3iiNG special operations modification

  • Nice job! Though not as thorough and long, I sent you my video. Its has merits too..

  • Is it possible to design a fully ambidextrous AR-15?

  • @xsquirrelstewx Fully Ambidextrous would mean that the Ejector and the Ejection-Port has to be switchable from side to side. You would need a compleetly new reciever and Bolt, but its possible with much work. P90 for example is fulyy ambi, even the Ejection Port.

  • Shooting Ambidextrous in general is a WIN

  • Isnt the Magpul BAD a ripoff of Tactical Link's BAL?

  • thank god im a righty=3

  • This is a better way to push the BAD Lever than the way from Costa from Magpul. He push with the Finger on it bye shooting, you push it when you put the Mag in.

    Great device....

    Thanks for that.

    Greetz from Germany

  • @Maniacpoison

Costa is a right handed shooter, not left handed. If you're wanting to drop the bolt on the right side of the rifle when in a right handed shooting position, it makes more sense for to use your index.

  • it sucks to be left handed huh...... damn guns are not lefty freindly, unless you pay like 3 grand for a ambidextrous gun

  • That is one fine-looking firearm.

  • @ClaytonStaples i concur

  • What do you guys know about rattly buffer springs/tubes?

  • CQBR nice!!

  • Woah, what did you do to the Charging handle? It looks different...

  • @ninjaman00

Its a PRI gas buster C/H w combat latch.

  • nice reflex sight. and yes i do know about a reflex sight from cod blackops so shut the fuck up with all that ohh you fags jus know about it from cod yeah i fucking do bitches

  • @ChocolateLemonss That's not a reflex sight... Its a Aimpoint Micro.

  • @ChocolateLemonss If the whole point of your comment was to show that you know what this is from a video game, then there was really no point in your comment. No one cares that you think you learned something from a video game. You also learned wrong as that's not a reflex sight. I believe it's a micro Aimpoint with a riser mount.

  • @ninjaman00

Yeah looks like a Micro CCO sight!

  • @ChocolateLemonss ummmmmm, dude thats an aimpoint micro

  • @tippymaster14 Aimpoint T-1.

  • @StupendousSam theyre exactly the same.....

  • Excellent add on for lefties, superb presentation.

  • sweet, put money down on this gun today, glad to know ill be able to put a BAD on it.

  • how much is the lefty mag realease and the right handedd assist thingy

  • thats pretty cool, they should make that for left handed airsofters .

  • I more of an AK guy but I gotta say this is still pretty bad ass!

  • how much was that ambi magazine release?

  • right handed rifles with magpul left handed upgrades = great pleasure to left handed shooter like me

  • Helpful vid!! Thax

  • this is y i love the bushmaster acr

  • i have an odd question but with smooth stocks like the sopmod your using how do you keep your cheek from sliding off when your having to move quick and get real sweaty i lose my sight pic easily. do you have any ideas on what i could do to keep my cheek from sliding off the stock?

  • @FSOAT

You could put on some rubber.

  • I'm left handed, but a right handed shooter.

  • @malkrow21

I'm right handed, but a left handed shooter.

  • That's interesting, Blueman.

  • @Blueman216 So am I... It's pretty cool but having to buy all the Ambi shit is not worth my time..... So I don't :)

  • @Blueman216 I'm left handed but a right handed shooter. Lol

  • @Blueman216 lol thats dope dude...

  • @Blueman216 I shoot pistols with my right but rifles with my left lol

  • Off topic. What's the QD sling mount you have on your rifle at the rear?

  • that is one sweet rifle

  • what hand guard and delta ring are you running here?

  • @gotboost2jz also what pistol grip is that?

  • @gotboost2jz Tango Down ;)

  • @gotboost2jz LaRue Tactical with Magpul covers.

  • that shit is nice. I need that.

  • what kind of mount is the surefire in? Larue Offset? Gearsector?

  • im diggin your setup, i appreciate this video as i am a lefty myself and have thought about adding on a BAD lever. FYI if you ever want to go to a single point sling magpul maked a single point sling adapter, i just put one on my ar and im loving it!

  • 0.30 it looks like you manipulated the bolt release simultaneously with the ambidextrous mag release. has that ever been a problem for you?

  • lol that gun is B.A.D. xD

  • OMG What kind of gloves and underwear are you wearing?

  • what kind of light is that? its up at an angle! its super sexy.

  • I'm sure you got this question already but...what gloves are you wearing in this video?

  • I'm sure you got this question already but...what gloves are you wearing in this video?

  • camra man sucks... i hope all that coughing was the onset of pneumonia

  • Would the KAC ambi mag release do better than the Norgon with the MAD installed ???

  • useful info. I never bothered to get one, as a leftie, so this is good stuff.

  • Thats the stupidest thing ive ever seen. the only good thing about beening a lefty with a AR is the bolt release beening on the left side . i use my index finger. its almost like it was designed to be done that way

  • Appreciate the vid. Im a lefty as well and wasent sure if the bad would do much for me. Ill be giving it a try after seeing this.

  • Magpuls' redneck innovation" is a heck of a thing. These guys aren't afraid to try off the wall stuff that's for sure. Neat company.

  • I recently got a BAD lever and shoot left shoulder. I use it to hold the bolt open but did not see how to release the bolt. I'll have to try using my thumb as I insert the magazine. Thanks!

It's hard not to drink the Magpul Kool-Aid! I have OD green MOE furniture and an MS2 sling. But I use the IKH SLAP for my sling. Plus I bought the Carbine I DVD.

  • God damn i miss my guns :(

  • What rear sight is that?

  • @TheMisfit621

    troy IIRC

  • @TheMisfit621

That's a rear BUIS by Troy Industries. I have one and it is a solid extremely well built piece of kit. Many top tier weapons come equipped with TROY BUIS from the factory.

  • Would this BAD system be LEGAL in CA?

  • get a stag lefty

  • this one of the reasons i want an acr it is left hand or right hand out of the box no charging handle in the back so you do not have to take your eyes of the target it is in front and many other reasons as well

  • @fierwall5 yeah the only problem would be the ejection port, I'm lefty and was looking at the ACR too.

  • Id like to know the exact specs of that rifle. Id like to build one exactly like it.

  • That SOPMOD stock is by Lewis Machine & Tool.

  • what's the pistol grip's name?

  • @HeadB0mb I'm pretty sure its a Tangodown pistol grip.

  • @warnerd14

yup, thanks for catching that one

  • i see your still havin the normal problem a lefty has when charging the rifle, i cant recommend highly enough the ACLM charging handle from laruetactical, its truly ambidextrous and ive fired over 1000 rounds charging it from the left side, works great, built like a tank, and is absolutely a must have for lefty's, hope you give it a try... great vid.., nice offset scoutlight btw:)

  • Man..all those..click..click..sounds..are turning me on....Im such a freak.......:P

  • Have you ever considered getting an actual left-handed AR? I know Stag arms makes lefty ARs, I'm saving up for there 6.8spc lefty.

  • I know this is off topic, but what is the name of the buttstock that guy has?

  • @TW94full

    SOPMOD

  • @GunWebsites Was it worth the money? I currently have the Magpul ctr and love it but I keep hearing about the SOPMOD.

  • @TW94full LMT SOPMOD

  • @TW94full Its a SOPMOD Crane stock

  • What site is that on the gun..?

  • @alexrachwal its called a micro T-1 i know aimpoint makes them.

  • thats awsome its even practicle for right handers

  • What is the RIS on this particular set-up?

    Would love to know.

  • why isint the ejection port on the right side for leftys?

  • @MrPennyworth007

because its a right hand gun... the BAD is an accessory that makes RH ar15's a little bit more LH friendly !!

  • In what way is that a LEFT HANDED AR15? He is just shooting a right handed ar 15, lefty. Allowing the brass to eject infront of his face

  • @beaconstructs

    Ambi controls

  • @GunWebsites Right but is the BAD lever truly compatible with a true left handed ar15 (a stag)?

  • @beaconstructs

I don't know, haven't tried to put one on

  • @GunWebsites Thanks for the reply that was the confusion I had thanks

  • @beaconstructs Nope. A friend of mine with a Stag-15L tried, and the offset on the lever itself, which is necessary on the right-handed configuration to set it back far enough to go through the trigger guard, put the end of the lever against the mag well, thus rendering it useless. I'm not complaining, though--I bought it off of him, and couldn't be happier.

  • @Solanaceaesgiandubh Thats exactly what I was afraid of thanks for getting the info for me. Eventually I'm sure Stag will come up with a left handed knock off. Thanks again

  • I'm not sure I understand what you mean. On the left-handed Stags, the lower receiver is identical to the right-handed models so what's the difference when installing the B.A.D. lever? Looking at my Stag, it does look like the top of the lever would interfere with the dust cover though.

  • @beaconstructs

I just think he means from a LH point of view... cause that just a regular RH ar15

  • @beaconstructs The brass deflector really works but in the case of older AR models they most definately ejected brass right into the face of lefties.

  • seems like too many bells and whistles.

hey which do you think would be better for my next rifle purchase.

    ak47

    or

    .308 bolt action

which would be better for shooting occasionally, and home defense. price is a factor.

  • @Dmajorproductions maybe the ak

  • i cant wait till im old enough to own

    my own gun

  • Nice rail where did U get it ?? would U tell me it's modal name?

  • What's the optic he's running? It looks so familiar but I can't put my hands on it...

  • @m16mang

    aimpoint T1

  • @m16mang

Aimpoint T-1 micro with Larue QD mount.

  • im likin that gun.

  • What exact model is that Delta Ring you're using? Cause I'm starting to get sick and tired of those cone-shaped delta rings I see everywhere.

  • @DontFearTheReaper1

Shape is defined by use.. if they attach with other system other than the springs, then they are usually different shapes.. but I don't remember any for the non-floating handguard type that isn't a slanted shape

  • @DontFearTheReaper1

Looks like the Handguard Nut of a LaRue rail which requires the removal of factory delta ring.

  • Knights Armament SR-15! LEFT Hand from the factory! no need for ambi up grades!

  • @dlogoody2008 But as we know, KAC is for people who want to go Gucci. Not everyone feels the price of KAC products justify its value.

Though the ambi selector, bolt release and mag release make the gun very sexy.

  • Good options for lefties. I'm not a lefty so I never considered those operations. Good stuff.

  • forgive me for my lack of gun knowledge, but what red dot sight are you using?

  • it's an Aimpoint T-1

  • Looks like an Aimpoint Micro T-1.

  • What kind of ambi-mag release are you using? I got a stag Model 3L and I think it doesn't come with one. (which I think it should) Nice to know that the BAD doesn't interfere with the ambi- mag release

  • It's a Norgon Ambi-Catch.

  • what type of VFG are you using?

  • I think thats a Tango Down "Stubby"

  • Nice SBR. Is that a 7.5 incher?

  • @ jeff31b

    That one is a 10.5"

  • forgive me if you've addressed this question in another vid, this is the first I've watched, but wouldn't it be easier to just go with a Left handed ar-15? I know Stag makes them, not sure about anyone else
