Nice shots - its great up on the Hoe...esp in summer....used to live nr Plymouth and take the crossing to Roscoff on the old Tregastel, latterly the Quiberon. Now living near London and will be out from Pompey this time to St Malo 'chez famille'..
I wonder how many people wanted to sail on the Pont Aven, but then confused this ship with the Pont'l'Abbe when making the reservation and then ended up the ship with the Great Funnel!!!
The Val de Loire was replaced by the Val du Funnel in 2005! (Grin) If the buildings she sails past were somewhat higher, you would only see a funnel move by! BF has bought this ship last December.
listen here idiots the duke of scandinavia (pont labbe) has been bought on loan from dfds seaways in 2006 and will be returned to dfds after a period of 3 years in 2009 due to a delay on the delivery of the armourique,and no i have not seen the state of it ,its a bloody decent ship! i no coz ive been on it several times when it served the newcastle - ijmuden route.
BigGigantos; vsl is old, but not due to length of service with BF. She's on time charter from DFDS and will be relieved of her duties in 2008 when BF's new 'Armorique' is launched.
I love that music whats it called, btw that was the first ferry/ship i ever went on! XD
