But they are getting close to hopping on the 80s style band wagon with their new EP. They covered Rebel Yell by Billy Idol and Unholy by KISS. I think the covers are terrible, but I'm glad to see impressionable teenagers finding KISS because of BVB.

BVB Claims to be glam because Andy Sixx loves Nikki Sixx. Personally, I don't like their music, and they bitch too much. But they are building a bridge between modern and 80s style metal, and it's been directing a new crowd to bands LIKE Crashdiet, and some further back to the great 80s bands we love. It gets people from younger age groups like mine out of the mindset "Everything has to be modern or it sucks" So they aren't completely useless. c:

@MrYngwie88 Sure, there wasn't much to it in a technical sense, but it fit the purpose of the song and a solo doesn't have to be overly technical and shreddy, like Mr Yngwei for example, to be good. Some of Crashdiet's other solos are better in that regard, if that's what you're looking for.

Steel Panther being a parody band while Crazy Lixx remains young, diverse, with great songwriting and with hope for getting the real 80s glam back on a higher level in music industry, their new album is coming out on spring 2012, and its going to be fuckin awesome, support that band !!!

@LulDavid you're right on almost all what you've said. BUT BVB are slowly turning into glam metal, maybe the lyric are still "emo" but the music sound more and more glam. its a question of time before they completely turn into glam metal. (sorry for my bad english, i almost learned it all by myself) but Crashdiet is better than BVB.

@LulDavid In all honesty Black Veil Brides formed in 2006, but im not going to waste time arguing with you, im just going to say that i love both bands and that i think that there is no need to compare them to determine which one is the better, its all good music, thats what really matters

@LulDavid You can't define glam metal unless you've actually been in a glam metal band before. To me, anything with a guitar solo is metal. They've got every component a glam metal has though. Long-ass hair. Tons of make up. People that hate them because of how they look. And they use group shouts. The only thing I hate about them are the stupid shitty fans, scene kids.
Unless a band has been running for 20 years or more in today's era, they are bound to receive hate. Like Avenged sevenfold.

@LulDavid Don't get me wrong man i love Crashdiet, WASP, Motley Crue, Kiss, Twisted sister and various other Metal bands, i can assure you that BVB are not an emo band they are a Metalcore/Rock Band and i believe that they are contribuating to Glam Metal. And remember its not the looks that make the music and BVB are Talented Song Writers.

@MrYngwie88 Sure, there wasn't much to it in a technical sense, but it fit the purpose of the song and a solo doesn't have to be overly technical and shreddy, like Mr Yngwei for example, to be good. Some of Crashdiet's other solos are better in that regard, if that's what you're looking for.

Crashdïet are a great band and their last album definitely lived up to fans expectations. Can't wait for the next one! I don't understand how people can compare them with bvb though? This band has no soul whatseover, they started out emo looking and now they think they are glam... Nothing to do with crash or any other new sleaze/glam band

It's not that easy. In the 80s the bands could actually be even more awesome in their live performances than in their videos. They had pure raw talent.
Today all the musicians take the "easiest possible path".
No new metal singer can become Ronnie James Dio or Bruce Dickinson.

@METAAAAALYEAH You're a bit off, on that BVB comment. Just cause they dress like a goth version of Motley Crue, simply because Andy Sixx is infactuated with Nikki Sixx, doesn't make them 80's style. They took a swing at it, with Fallen Angels... It wasn't really worth releasing. Crashdiet, Steel Panther, and Crazy Lixx are doin a great job at carrying the flag for metal now days. But BVB... not so much : P

@Thatoneguyfromwalmar Steel Panther and Crazy Lixx, those two are the best glam bands out on the scene right now. Steel Panther being a parody band while Crazy Lixx remains young, diverse, with great songwriting and with hope for getting the real 80s glam back on a higher level in music industry, their new album is coming out on spring 2012, and its going to be fuckin awesome, support that band !!!

I mean, i enjoy them, but the flag is definitely more the shoulder of Crash and such.
But at least you can safely say, even if they're not quite pulling it off, BVB have the right idea.
