the "Secret projects" are adding in blue lights... wow. By a kit and make it yourself and save $1000+. 3D printers break down (yes even Makerbots). If you assemble it yourself you will have a greater feel on how to fix things. There is also a great community surrounding it
I want to connect a WiiMote and Nunchuk up to one, and use the accelerometer, joystick, and buttons to control the thing to do some free styling. Probably would look like a pile of plastic shit when I'm done, lol.
@phenomenon91 That's the basic concept. Of course there are limitations, but the Makerbot is capable of printing fairly complex 3D designs at lower cost than any current alternative.
