I came to America when I was two, and my allegiance is completely with America. I still have nostalgia for my country of birth, but given the choice I would support America in any competition. All things considered, there's nothing that can predetermine where someone's ultimate allegiances will lie. Including where they're born. Only that individual harbors the potential to make those choices.
But allowing a foreign-born individual to become President is ASKING for problems in the areas of national security and international politics.
If the world was comprised of essentially like-minded countries with essentially like-minded citizens, this wouldn't be an issue obviously.

Ok, let me spell out what I thought was obvious. TYT is going way over the top calling this a "brilliant" move on Obama's part. Way over the top. That should should be a hint for anyone. The truth of the matter is that John Huntsman has been considered for this appointment for a while, but was hated by the neocons. There was discussion with McCain about the appointment. Huntsman is very qualified and the obvious choice. This has nothing to do with "brilliance" and just fell in Obama's lap.

That's just revisionism. McCain was beloved by the media since he wasn't a typical republican - until he dared to challenge an actual democrat for office.
The fact of the matter is that McCain's record often matches his rhetoric (unlike Barack). He'd have brought Republicans back to fiscal conservatism (which we desperately need) and would've turned them on to environmentalism/energy independence.

The media was very bias against McCain. I ended up voting for Obama, but the press was not fair to McCain. For example, on the William Ayers issue, it was the Clintons who had Stephanopoulos raise the issue, getting the info from Hannity. For the most part, the Democrats did not care except when McCain raised the issue, then it was considered dirty politics. McCain was being tortured in Vietnam while Ayers was blowing up U.S. buildings. If anyone had a legitimate concern, it was McCain.
