Blacks tend to compare this case, or mention this case, to the john White shooting, who didnt even call 911 period, had an illegal handgun, loaded it, handed his son a shotgun, and then walked thru the garage, down the drive, and suddenly had a "flashback from the 1930's south and lynchmobs" thereby justifying his shot to the FACE of a kid!! whereby there were OTHER KIDS who SEEN IT ALL and testified that Mr White had the gun knocked downward, raised it back up and shot that kid.

This went before a grand jury, i am assuming it had to pass across the prosicutors desk before doing so, as well as a peek from the DA. The grand jury heard from Mr Horn and the arriving officer before deciding not to file charges. The castle cod law is very grey and cloudy in some areas. Given the fact that so many attorneys viewed this, a selected and appointed grand jury, and still no charges, one has to assume his actions, although not 100% "right" are legal in Texas now.

@nyjet2210 The "castle Doc" was written just for reasons as this, because of all the extra violent crime they have in TX. I know it reads something like you have the right to use deadly force to protect your property and your neighbors property. Those men had broken into the house, exited the home, clearly entering the very area the law encapsulates. This all went before a grand jury, who heard from Mr Horn and the officer who arrived on the street as the "last of the shot went down"

It really is amazing how Joe Horn didn't get charged in this situation. The 911 call cleary illustrates that he PURSUED these criminals. He was emotional and didn't want them to get away. He was upset, as well as racist. In this video he says that if he hadn't shot them, they would have killed him for sure. That's a blantant lie! If he would've stayed in the house, he would have been safe from them. Plain and simple, he was pissed off that 2 black men were robbing a house in his neighborhood.
