Yep, I like these vids too. And like someone below, I am keen to incorporate audio into in-flight videos - could Avweb maybe look at doing a video running us through how you guys do it? I won't try to outdo you, trust me! I need to fly off about a hundred hours this year as part of my CPL and I intend to record and post a fair bit of it. Some decent audio would clearly be good.
Hahahaha! Nice comment about the audio levels (which, by the way, are really just fine in this video). What's Russ Niles' excuse on the podcasts, though -- he's indoors! I'm just sayin' ;-)
I'm not gonna complain about the slip ups. I have dyslexia of the flight controls. I mean aileron but I'll say rudder. Most of my students have learned to think twice on what I've said which is good. It's become an unintentional tool to keep them on their toes and think about things.
Show us a forward slip crosswind landing Paul, that's where the rudder really comes in handy aside from the obvious p-factor and turn co-ordination.
And what about showing us the difference between a coordinated power-on stall in a turn and uncoordinated and how that's relevant to safe pattern/circuit flying? Crosswind landings and stall recovery are what taught me how to fly with my feet.
You are the kind of guy I want to be my flight instructor. No B.S., and teaching good flying technique.
