is there anyway to remove the pop up when i reply back to a text and it always asks me if i want to send a pic or txt message. its very annoying. also can u put games on an sd card and play them on the xtc?

In your opera mini video, you explain and show at the beginning, that youtube does not work on the x-tc, do you mean the youtube does not work before u download mini opera, or after you download mini opera?

It doesn't really freeze up but if you get on aim or email and log out it will send you a message which is a loud beep asking you if you want to access email or aim again.

This Thursday I'll be dropping my Sprint service and going to virgin mobile. I use my cellphones exclusively for text messaging / pic messaging / emails. I know you don't like the wild card that much, but how would you rate both phones on a scale from one to ten? How are the keyboards vs each other. How much battery life does the X-TC have vs the wild card. Is the camera better or in a whole new ballpark?

The keyboard on the wildcard is a little larger, spacier and more plasticky compared to the x-tc's which is smaller, compact but not quite as plasticky. The battery life on the x-tc offers about an hour more continuous talk time(4hours) and 2 days more stand by time compared to the wildcard. The camera on the x-tc is alot better than the wildcard also, the pictures are crisper and clearer however the x-tc doesn't have a flash. Overall i'd give the x-tc a 9 and the wildcard a 7.

Thanks for your reply! Chat style texting is like when you text someone and you can see what you text and what they text back to you on the screen without having to go in your messages to read them....just like you are instant messaging each other....Hope I explained it clearly! Thanks so much!

thanks :) someone told me they bought it at target yesterday...i don't know when you checked last though. lol. Originally i heard that it was coming out at bestbuy at the end of april but i haven't heard any more about it. Your best bet is either to call and ask or to just order it online.

and i have a question about the battery life? i have the wildcard now and i feel like the battery goes down every hour i use it. is the battery life on this any better?

no problem, with the battery if you turn the back light down and don't use the internet or play alot of games on the phone the battery life is somewhere near 8 hours without continuous use, like if its just in your pocket and your not calling or texting every 2 seconds. However, if you use the internet the battery life is somewhere near an an hour and a half or if your texting and calling alot i think its around 5 or 6 hours.

when you call someone, do you have to keep the keyboard out when you use the keyboard? or can you close while you are on the phone without hanging up on that person?

you can dail with the keyboard closed, all you do is press the center button and the numbers appear on the screen, then you can use the toggle button on the front of the phone and dail the number, if you dail with the keyboard i believe theres a setting about closing the phone to hang up.

and another question. when you receive a text message, does the name of the sender show up when u get it, not like the wildcard. the wildcard just said "new text message".

i thought it did but then i realized it doesn't, it says new message, then it takes you directly into your inbox and you open the message from there.

i haven't used it yet, but i assume that because it's on a 3g network it would be faster than the wildcards aim.

1. Do you genuinely like the phone. And recommend it for others ?

2. Is it hard to qet used to the dial pad beinq mixed into the keyboard ?

3. Are there any problems so far with the phone ?

4. If i were to order it off virgin mobile, would i have to add the 99.99 to my balance and wait for them to deduct them or is there another method ?

for number 4. theres a lot of methods you can use credit or prepaid cards.

This is what i did i bought two $50 cards and top up them and i bought the phone with my balance.

Only works if you have a virgin mobile account!

If not then you will need to use credit.
