I got one a month ago, made a few videos. I've been blabbing about a few tricks:
--d.84, tap anywhere on the top edge of pad and WAIT, it makes a rising feedback. Tap elsewhere or change program to stop.
--Hold Scale and tap Loop to go right back to Program from inside any other menu.
--Set 108 bpm and P.91, turn on gate G.28, hold down the center. You have the starting intro beat to "The Safety Dance" by MEN WITHOUT HATS! But you can't change the scale on a fixed loop to play the song.
It is a synth. The kaoss pad is only able to accept an input sound and modify it. The Kaossilator has no input. It creates sound on its own, cannot save any loops but can output them to a computer.
Hi duckjock! I liked that little piece that you created with the KP. You have some skills dude. I have a mini-KP and I love it but I wish that it was loaded with some drum kits. Could you tell me what the other differences are between the two pads that makes the KP $50 more than the mini-KP? Thanks and keep doing what you're doing b/c it sounds decent.
What stores could i find this in? i live in ontario canada

So, the mini only edits songs off you''re iPod or whatever, like in the think geek video? (dot) com/watch?v=2m5J2u5H8C8
TakeshiNinja 3 years ago
it adds effects to just about whatever music source you want to add effects to, so yeah it can do it off your ipod but not just your ipod.
