  • You can always look at the eyes to determine if they are chinese. Usually they are small, slim, and slant up. Vietnamese eyes are a bit larger.

  • Her Vietnamese isn't perfect. Her pronunciation of vần ung, âu, and ôi bothers me. Probably because I'm used to listening to Northern Viet singers who pronounce all the vowels perfectly in their songs.

  • really? I heard she was nam, is that correct?

    if yes, that's probably why.

  • Probably. Southern Vietnamese have the same problem too, but only when they talk, not when they sing.

  • because she's half viet n chinese lmao

  • Who cares if she's chinese/vietnamese. Does it matter?

Just enjoy the clip, even though I don't understand what she's saying except that 'I love you' part.

  • She is Chinese! just that she was raised in Vietnam or maybe just like you she lived in Vietnam for 7 + years, therefore she can speak Vietnamese. I think she speaks Chinese too? I heard her sing in Cantonese before.
