The Tea Party has nothing to do with race; that's simply what the left wants everyone to think. Lower taxes and spending will benefit everyone. Politicians have proven over and over that they can't be trusted with your money so why would you want to give them more? Individual resposibility and the strength of the human spirit are what's going to bring our great nation back to prosperity and opportunity for all. Please don't let the government determine the winners and losers. God Bless America!

@barbtube01 The Tea Party movement is colorblind - it has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with how our government keeps carelessly spending money we don't even have. Lower government spending will benefit everyone. We cannot sustain our current path of increasing taxes and spending.
@CONKR3T3 Total hypocrisy of the Republican members of Congress and the Tea Party lecturing everyone about spending conservatively and attempting to place conditions on a debt ceiling agreement, considering their track record. It's funny how the conservatives unwavering support for raising the debt ceiling seven times during the Bush administration ended with the beginning of a black President during the Obama Administration. @barbtube01 If the Tea Party had been around during the Bush presidency they would have most likely been against raising the debt ceiling then as well - however we were engaged in an all out war against terror; please don't forget 9/11. Why try and turn this into a raise issue? The Tea Party is fighting for the rights and liberties of every citizen of the United States. Please turn to family, church, friends, neighbors & charities if you need help rather than calling upon our corrupt government.

Fred Koch father of David and Charles was a founder of the John Birch Society. The Society vehemently opposed the civil rights movement in the 1960s.
@miazagora I love how you all conveniently forget that those were the conservative Dixiecrats before they defected en-masse to the Republican Party after liberal northern and west coast Democrats and moderate Midwestern Republicans passed the Civil Rights acts of 1964-1965. Why not look up a map of the pre-1964 elections and then the post-1964 elections, and see how the Deep South used to be solid Democrat, then turned solid Republican in ONE ELECTION CYCLE. How the hell does THAT happen?
