awh ... i have a 12.2 pony and i was wondering how high i should go in eventing .. we have jumped 4ft 3 but now hes 12 and i dont want him getting hurt.. any advice?

@TrueRider2010 4ft 3 is huge for a 12.2 well done. i used to do 2'3 on skye, its smallish but its good to get going, but i do 2'9 now. i would do bigger showjumping like 1m though. it depends was courses and stuff you have been doing. hope this helps

quick question tho, why do so many Haffies wear the figure 8 or flash style nose bands? what is the advantage to using them?

yea they are called grackles and are used to keep there jaw shut and also help control them a bit. they are used on strong horses, so i guess haflingers are guilty of this lol

skye used to stick her toungue out and open her mouth so it really helped :)

You guys have had an awesome year. From these stills it shows how scopey she actually is. You've worked really hard with her this year and she's turned into something amazing. I wish you the best of luck for 2010, I miss you and I'll be stalking you all next year haha.. So watch out for a creepy kid with a big camera. This is the best video you've made I think, even though its mainly pictures. I really like it. Happy new year and all the best, I'll be behind you the whole way.
