  • I don't agree....if it was in the UFC Sakuraba would have been able to use elbows on the ground. As a result he would have been able to do more damage with far less space. Thats why wrestlers are so successful in the UFC. In Pride elbows were not allowed so if you are trying to ground and pound you have lost a vital weapon!

  • @smogs7 in ufc ur not allowed to kick the head of a grounded opponent which takes away a huge striking factor for strikers

  • @peteydakingz and u cant up kick from the ground if there on there knees whch takes a way a bjj guys defense and u cant =knee on a take down sht ufc favors wrestlers fact

  • @rickyd454 yeah... thats been proven many times, ground game guys always beat stand up guys, they get the win, but its not very exciting and dana white's gonna tell u to fuck off if u have too many boring fights

  • @peteydakingz i think this os directed at some ojne else and i agree if ur just sitting in guard but iff ur passing and going for subs to an uneducated fight fan its boring bbut no one gives a shit about them and dana is a cock sucker anyways

  • @rickyd454 i enjoy good ground game, i believe it can be just as intense and exciting but many people just wanna see a boxing match with some ground and pound

  • @peteydakingz whats ur point

  • @rickyd454 whats ur point, im just replying to ur statement with my own statement

  • @peteydakingz i was agreeing with u lol usually i get a bunch of trolls who dont know what their talking about so when some one comments with shred of positivity its a shock

  • @rickyd454 whats ur point..... lol, u dont gotta be so negative, a positive attitude is radiant and can be contagious and transfer to others... ive scilenced and educated many trolls and made them apologize too me

  • @peteydakingz well maybe u should educate your self because i was agreeing with you and i was commending your positive attitude

  • @rickyd454 theres so many comments dude, and the new youtube doesnt help in the least, which comment r u replying too? i am educating myself, im 17 years old and im in grade 12 which means im almost done my mandatory education, well... mandatory if u want a highschool diploma, im the second youngest in the whole grade, me and the other guy r supposed to be in the grade below but we too educated, also, i will get back to u with a less vague response when i know which comment this is a reply too

  • 91 people accidentally hit the dislike button as they were trying to hit the mute button. Shitty music. This deserves something more epic.

  • @panther2552 my mistake easly done since i am taught by trevor roberts who uses thai catch and jujutsu in his style of martial arts ^^ my bad

  • If you liked this video, check out Martial Arts 411 Magazine

  • guy in the white trunks suck hahah all he wanna do is hug and lay down.. stand up and fight faggot.. brazil sucks when it comes to fighting

  • @tomagotchii brazil is the birth place of much of mma... its like saying oh lookit i made this cup, its a piece of shit but the coffee in it tastes great.... u dont make any sense

  • renzo was defeated by him being cornered in a tight place, i doubt the fight had ended like that if it was an octagon shaped ring. i honetsly believe renzo is best fighter.

  • Messed the last post up oops...i mean is that where they want to be...on there back

  • @reilmanz

    No, that's bullshit.

No matter what art you study, you don't want to end up on your back in a fight. BJJ teaches you how to sweep or submit from your back just in case you do end up there, but it's far from an ideal position to fight from (especially when strikes are involved).

Ideal outcome of a fight for a BJJ guy: takedown, mount/rear mount, submit or ground-and-pound.

  • For all you saying that wrestlers can get you on your back.....ummm isnt that where jiu jitsu comes into play? They are comftorble

  • ignorant title.

  • @XmagnaX what the hell r u talking about?!?!? jiu jitsu is the BEST submissin "game" EVER!!!!!

  • @josexavier1997 ok (deep sigh)

  • @josexavier1997 Is that so? Then tell me this, Why is it that all the Gracies have lost to Wrestlers? And if you look up 1993 matches Wrestling and Jiujitsu dominated the 1993 MMA. Of course Gracie does not want to admit this. Wrestlers have one over BJJ many times and this is why Gracie likes to fight strikers. And this guy has defeated all the Gracies. The younger brothers and all of them. But Gracie still says he is still number one.

  • @MrStathis77 Gracies were arrogant, but although BJJ is more popular than catch wreslting, BJJ doesnt do grappling any better than any of those other grappling arts. But it sure as hell loses to catch wreslting more times than not through out history even before BJJ was ever made. :/

  • this is no a wrestler

  • @Duroca2010 Sakuraba very much is a wrestler. Collegiate frosh national champ who defeated 2 olympic gold medalists and a Silver Medalist. Also Japanese Professional Wrestler and a Catch as Can Catch submission wrestling legend, taught by Billy Robinson.

  • first time i have seen sakuraba fight but he was a exposive and exiting fighter and it was nice to see a little plain jujutsu used at the end to take down the brazilian counterpart

  • @1donsnypa it wasn't jiu jitsu actually. it was catch as can catch wrestling. the Kimura is known as the double wristlock in Catch which is much older than Jiu Jitsu. Even Kimura himself had been taught the move by Karl Gotch when they trained together before he fought Helio.

  • Saku always give shows...

  • it's not about wrestling being better than jiu jitsu....its just saku is a tougher nut than the gracie's

  • .....

  • THIS WAS AN AWESOME FIGHT.THANX

  • @f2pmerchteam Ok lets compare sakuraba's case and couture's case. How many wars has couture been in? and i don't mean ufc type wars i mean sakuraba vs arona, smirnova, galescic, royce, wanderlei, vovochanchyn type of wars. That means sakuraba has about 250 times more wear and tear on his body than randy couture has even though he is like 8 years younger. In addition sakuraba did pro wrestling in japan which is probably the most dangerous thing to do for your health.

  • SAKURABA!!!!!!!

  • Sakuraba is tha man! im brazilian but this dont matter, sakuraba owned alone almost all gracies.

  • Comment removed

  • Saku fucked that arm up!!!!!!! Gracie Hunter is LEGEND.

  • i hate metal music

  • @ThePlanetairsoft Metal music hates you too.

  • @killerportero suck my dick metal is annoying no talent shit except for the guitar and drums

  • @ThePlanetairsoft cocky pock, your penis is too small alongside with your gonads.

  • @ThePlanetairsoft poppycock.

  • sakuraba is the men....I've done bjj for years and I love it. But once I saw sakuraba the gracie hunter, I've been hook on catchwrestling, and probably one of the most effectif styles of grappling for street fights.

  • @vespaman101 not really. wrestling vs BJJ. Look at chael sonnen vs anderson silva. silva laid on his back and locked in a triangle/armbar. anderson silva vs dan henderson. silva got the rear naked choke. i see alot of fights where wrestlers lose by submission and KO. GSP dominates every wrestler he comes across and he never even wrestled and yet he is ranked the second best in the ufc

  • @schecterplayer123 but GSP uses wrestling. u culd ask him urself ..well if u had the chance. alot of guys have not competed in jiujitsu tournaments but still know jiujitsu. gsp konws how to wrestle he just didnt do it in college or highschool. and bjj is not aggressive. thats not the point of it. but yeah like i said gsp was even considering joining the canadian olympic wrestling team. he has to know alot of wrestling to do that. not just td and defense.

  • @vespaman101 i just dont see wrestling being better then jiu-jitsu. im a BJJ practioner under jorge gurgel. ive sparred with wrestlers that wrestle at my school (which is one of the top 5 wrestling districst in the stae of ohio). in my opinion, BJJ is more dominant because you got takedowns, throws, sweeps, mounts, submissions, using guard, side control etc. etc. wrestling is more aggressive but bjj in actual competition can be aggressive. just need strength and good cardio for aggession

  • @schecterplayer123 wrestling is all about leverage and cardio. not really strength they just feel really strong cuz of the way they attack u. but the thing is is that wrestling they focus on all takedowns takedown defenseand top control. we dont mess with bototm and we r really good with leaving tha tposition. which is why its dominant. its about dominant position. because your training is split up in bjj all the time u use for submittison, guard, sweeps, is more time for our TD, and TD defense.

  • @vespaman101 once again dont forget you have to work on throws and takedowns to even get to the ground. and wrestlers spend half their time doing cardio workouts and strength training. BJJ is also about gaining dominant positions and transitioning to guard and defending against someones passing. in my opinion the difference between wrestling and jiu-jitsu is technique

  • @schecterplayer123 well when i wrestled we got all of our conditioning by actualy wrestling. not doing any kind of strength training or specific workouts. we just wrestled our asses off 2 and a half hours a day. and we focused on technique. i've grappled with bjj guys before and the thing is is they dont seem to feel the same need of being on top at all times that i have. they r okay with going to guard and having someone on top. in wrestling dominance is everything. top position.

  • @vespaman101 ya because wrestlers focus on pinning people in which you can only do on top. in bjj you can submit people from all angles.

  • @schecterplayer123 which is why wrestlers are really good at ground and pound. they can get pretty much anyone on their backs and keep them down. catch wrestling used submissions but its not very popular. its rare to find it. very very rare. especially real old school catch wrestling. there is another kind but it acutally comes from japan and is inspired from bjj and is more of a rip off of old school catch wrestling. becuz nobody teaches the old style anymore. not enough teachers it died

  • @Askar590 ya most of heavyweight seems like their wrestlers though. in the lower weight classes all the wrestlers get beat. dont forget frank mir used the kneebar to get brock lesnar though. and then you got anderson silva who has beaten top wrestlers like dan henderson and chael sonnen (Bullshit btw) BJJ is better then wrestling cause it teaches you everything. all wrestling teaches you is takedowns

  • @Askar590 some of the best young heavyweights of today are wrestlers yes true, but historically not so much other than Coleman and Randy and Randleman. Cro Cop, Nog, Fedor, Rutten, Igor (guys in prime that would likely have devastated Cain and Shane and Brock) and today's consensus no. 1 Overeeem, Antonio Silva, Werdum are not wrestlers at all. There's more than just the UFC bro. and yes i saw Lesnar TKO Mir. I've also seen Mir submit Lesnar.

  • Damn sakuraba was comedy

  • @2piecechickenbox ya but anderson silva is a black belt in taekwondo, judo and brazilian jiu-jitsu. he prefers to stand up because he is the most accurate striker in MMA and he is prboably in the top 3 or even top 2 with the most deadly striking. but he still has the BJJ black belt under antonio rodrigo nogueira

  • @2piecechickenbox actually more BJJ guys then wrestlers in UFC/strikeforce doesnt really prove anything. not everyone is made is good at wrestling as a sport. you sit there and really do act like BJJ is invincible though. i do BJJ under jorge gurgel, john stutzman and dan doemer. and ive been beaten by people who do catch wrestling, greco roman and folkstyle wresling. hell, ive been beaten by people who do judo. and yes submissions are taught in judo

  • @schecterplayer123 Shamrock, Braga, White, Randleman, Mezger, Funaki,Minowa and most of his losses came to much larger elite fighters such as Wandy, Cro Cop (a fight he was wining till he was injured), Igor (Draw in regulation, stopped before overtime because he was exhausted having fought Royce Gracie for 90 mins that same night) Arona..etc He did that while walking around at 185, whereas Silva and GSP cut from 220 and 195 respectively, down to their lower weights of 185 and 170

  • @2piecechickenbox actually wrestling background in MMA is really useful. Thats why people like chael sonnen, randy couture, matt hughes, matt hamill, dan henderson, chuck liddell, frankie edgar, rashad evans, jake shields are all so good on the ground. plus BJJ mixed in. and most of the people ive named are at an intermidate level of BJJ (purple belt).

  • @schecterplayer123 They're both great fighters, but i'll take Saku who's beaten more legends than just about anyone and took on the best fighters in the world reguardless of size, fighting to finish and willing to take risks rather than just playing it safe to outpoint opponents. GSP beat Hughe's and undersized BJ (also cheated greased up) Anderson's beaten Hendo, Newton and Vitor with losses to two of Sakuraba's lesser training partners. Saku's beaten 4 gracies,Netwon, Vitor, RAmpage..cont..

  • lÖl_ÂñYÒÑE_wâÑNÁ_chAt_wïth_mÉ_î_fèêl_sÓ_l0NÊlÿ_tÕdáÿ♫

  • Wrestling vs Jiujitsu!? it should be titled Renzo Gracie vs

Sakuraba. These guys are legends you dipshit, don't lump them in with these wrestling vs BJJ, TKD vs muay thai losers. Further more we are looking at Brazilian Gracie jujitsu vs Japanese mma wrestling it's not simply jujitsu vs wrestling and it proves nothing about ether!

  • @cr4ck4lack hahaha wow man I can't believe people watch wwe. Try and use that in a real fight.

  • @vintagecritic the guy in orange (Sakuraba) is a pro wrestler, arguably the greatest MMA fighter ever. every one of his submission moves are staples of pro wrestling, specially in the UWF, UWFi and Kingdom organizations where Saku wrestled. Saku learned his Catch as Can Catch wrestling from an old wrestler named Billy Robinson. As for slams, drop kicks and that sort of thing. We've even seen them used in MMA aswell. Rampage's powerbomb victory over Ricardo Arona as an example.

  • @panther2552 not the best mma fighter ever. he is up there but he isnt the greatest. that title would probably go to GSP or anderson silva

  • gonna tell me this is wrestling like the gay man in southpark or what

  • Professional wrestlers ruled MMA!

  • Where is the honor If you are hitting a man in floor ...??! box kick all ass in ring.

  • fuck, this song is making me go completely limp...nice choice douchebag

  • fuck, this song is making me go completely limp...

  • wrestlers are much more aggressive, my friend does bjj and i destroyed, sort of. he's a black belt. i was able to throw him around, but how would i make him submit, all i know is how to pin. he kept on trying to choke me, and grab my arm, and leg. and all i knew, was to not let him get anything, at all. and that was the only reason i won. i just assumed that he knew some move to twist my arm or leg, and that was how i won. always two steps ahead of him.

  • Its pretty much common knowledge that bjj would destroy wrestling.. .wrestling was formed as a sport with limitations and rules....bjj is a defensive style

  • @mkifyousayso depends on the wrestling your talking about. freestyle, greco sure. there's no submissions there. Pancratian, Catch wrestling(which Sakuraba trains in) are submissions arts that have been around long before GJJ was ever thought of. in fact Kimura the man who defeated Helio Gracie with what is now known as the Kimura learned that move from Billy Robinson's teacher, Billy being the teacher of Sakuraba aka the Gracie Hunter.

  • lol You were the one coming at me with the lil smartass childish remarks remember. I just gave you some facts and you did nothing but add lil idiotic comments. Though if you want to keep with the kiddie crap go for it. you amuse me.

  • Oh my. They are about to take off their shorts and start having sex.

  • You can't simply classify this fight as Wrestling vs. BJJ. Both fighters incorporate Wrestling, Muay Thai, and BJJ in their fighting style.

  • Comment removed

  • @lesamourai777

I agree this is wrestling vs. Jiu Jitsu. The muay thai and all that allows them to transgress to their wrestling and BJJ. Their whole strategy is to build-up the fight so that their wrestling or BJJ is utilized. Ofcourse this is an MMA match, so there are other elements, but the BJJ is obviously proven over and over to be less effective on wrestlers. Afterall, if you can't take your opponent down, your BJJ is rendered useless.

  • @logicCplusplus its really hard to characterize MMA fights as "that vs this". its simply not a grappling match if you can hit people in the face. the most effective tap out technique in MMA is ground and pound with elbows. As for the BJJ vs wreslting, or any grappling vs grappling...well BJJ tends to be strong on the ground, and only on the ground. Wreslting tends to get you to the ground or keep you off of it. Wrestlers definitely have a huge advantage on take downs. BJJ's own fault for never-

  • @logicCplusplus training stand up. Especially in an MMA match, were u need to know striking, takedowns AND grappling. not just one or two. learned that from personal experience.

  • @ikcjjtt

yes, I trained for 10 years including 3 years of MMA. Fun times...

  • @2piecechickenbox Magna basically said most of what needed to be said. but don't forget along with Arona's size it was his knees that beat Saku not his bjj. and if you're gonna mention Anderson Silva, remember it was two of Sakuraba's training partners in Daiju Takase and Ryo Chonnan that tapped Silva out. Submission fighting is not owned by BJJ. Heck subs in BJJ were around in catch wrestling long before the Gracies ever learned Japanese Jiu Jitsu.

  • @panther2552 shushh go back to sleep little kid no one cares what you ahve to say lol

  • @2piecechickenbox yep silly reponse to facts.

  • @panther2552 you heres a fact for you i dont care go spam some on else you little mamas boy

  • @2piecechickenbox lol another typical childish response.

  • @panther2552 stop being a fag and go leave smart ass comment on other people posts

  • @panther2552 I've seen you obviously know your shit, me and my brother keep on arguing on who would win between the matt hughes (2003 version) an the 2000 version of sakuraba ?? Because i was telling him sak would tap him out, but he believes hughes has better wrestling (LOL) and would just pound him out.

    Thanks in advance

  • @XmagnaX hughe's was good but nowhere near on Saku's level. Saku was a national champ as a frosh in college. during his freestyle wrestling career he beat two olympic gold metalists and a bronze metalist. And back then in his prime when he fought someone his size he destroyed em. His wrestling is atleast on par with Matt's. his subs are rediculously better than Matt's. Even in stand up, Matt's punching was decent, but Saku's leg kicks and spinning back kicks were better.

  • @panther2552 I agree i would have sak winning by sub, but if you think about it if sakuraba would of fought in the ufc, with the cage in either ww or mw he would of gone undefeated for many many years.

  • @XmagnaX indeed my friend, indeed

  • @2piecechickenbox Ok lets see, Mayhem and Ralek beat a broken 40+ year old sak, Arona, lill Nog outweighed him by like 30 pounds, Wanderlei beat him standing the first and third fight and slammed him wwestyle in the second, Royce got his ass handed to him on a fucking silver plate with icing on top, ditched his Gi and Roided up to beat saku (bullshit decision)And sonnen is a good wrestler Yes but unlike saku he is known to lack submission defense.

GET over it BJJ isn't the only thing out there.

  • @XmagnaX still beat him so piss of wrestling is for kids

  • @2piecechickenbox ... dude wtf r u talkin about... doin our sisters and shooting?? man i've never even shot a gun. and since when do americans do their sisters. where do u get this stuff? ur just being really biased trying to make it seem like BJJ is so superior thats y alot of fighters dont like bjj artist because they think their art is invincible. thats y the gracies got themselves taken out. by a wrestler...

  • @2piecechickenbox All of Saku's submissions including the kimura/double wristlock he used to finish Renzo in this fight are wrestling based. There are several forms of wrestling and Saku's style is Catch as can catch wrestling. a submission style that's been around for centuries. Long before the Gracies were ever taught Jiu Jitsu by the Japanese.

  • @panther2552 i no all about catch wrestling still thing bjj is better than any type of wrestling, royce gracie who im my opinion isnt that good beat guys almost twice his weight in ufc dont forget, but now you cant be a half decent mma with out some sort of bjj back ground

  • The music sucks!!!....

  • @steeeeker yo streeker u dont know wut ur tlakin about... he did not use bjj at all. he used a style called catch wrestling that came before bjj. Its the style of wrestling all the ones u see in college and highschool came from. It has submissions which were taken out for college and high school wrestling

  • love the fact the guy in white feels so relaxed on the ground to scratch his head at 2:10 xD

  • @slaiyfershin lol aye. Renzo's very comfortable on the ground. He had one of the best ground games ever back in his prime.

  • Comment removed

  • @steeeeker The title is wrestling vs jiu jitsu because these competitors are seen as representatives of each art. And it is neither stated nor implied that they are pure. Also I don't think it logical that a fighter trained for years in wrestling would try to employ jiu jitsu to defeat a jiu jitsu master. That's like trying to go toe to toe with Tyson in boxing after training only taekwondo. And yes, I do believe you stated "even if there were BJJ would win anyway." That's rather closed minded.

  • @clipophile Sakuraba did catch wrestling. Which is derived from the sport all the other wrestling styles came from. Catch wrestling has all the submissions like the one he did at the end. thats seen in old catch wrestling vids all the time from the standing position like that. he's just doin old catch and he was good at it. wrestilng is so limited now that people only learn without submissions. so now all wreslters r ground and pound.

  • @steeeeker Renzo is the founder's grandson and a master. Sakuraba was a part of the wrestling team at Chuo University, fought for three wrestling federations, and fought in four professional MMA leagues. How you missed that there was either wreslting or gracie jiu jitsu in this video is beyond me. And you're wrong about the last statement. Even as a practitioner of jiu jitsu, if I state facts instead of opinion, I'll be forced to admit that Sakuraba has won four of six fight against the gracies.

  • Catch Wrestling vs. Jiujitsu

  • gnarly borken arm eww

  • @steeeeker Sakuraba is the wrestler in this video. There are many more forms of submission fighting in the world than GJJ and Catch as Catch Can Wrestling is one of them and far older than GJJ. Each of Saku's subs have been around in catch for hundreds of years.

  • @panther2552 Pretty much everything is older than any school of brasilian jiu jitsu. It has only been around as such since Helio and Carlos were reaching their mid-lives. By 'as such', I mean under the name of brasilian jiu jitsu. But the majority of the techniques it contains were absorbed from judo, and indirectly from more ancient forms of jiu jitsu, so that BJJ's techniques are also hundreds of years old. All art forms evolve. Forgive me if I fail to see your point.

  • @clipophile it was a simple point that there are other submission forms of grappling than Gracie Jiu Jitsu. for instance Saku's fighting base is Collegiate and Catch as Can Catch Wrestling (submission grappling). I was responding to someone who said there was no wrestling in this video and that even if there was it would lose to GJJ/BJJ. And it is unfortunate that Royce's victory over Sakuraba in the 2nd fight cannot be overturned under the old CSAC rules for steroid violations.

  • @panther2552 Ah. There are indeed plenty of good arts besides BJJ. And I agree. The only legitimate win over Sakuraba was by Ralek. I'm not sure of Sakuraba's age at that point.

  • @clipophile Sakuraba was 41 to Ralek being 24

  • @panther2552 Well, there you go. It was an epic win, but it's kind of like Tito beating Shamrock, I guess. Up and coming beating an aged vet. Sakuraba is past his prime.

  • @clipophile wut about wanderlei's win over him?

  • Renzo is a class act at the end of this fight he said he makes no excuses and that saku was better than him that day . Awesome fight. Saku is the man!!!

  • Comparing catch to bjj is like comparing red apples to yellow apples. Which do you think taste better?

  • I'd hate to have the last name Gracie...ppl would expect me to teach them BJJ and shit lol...

  • @prss412 and every time they go to a bar some asshole is picking a fight

  • Saku is slow as molasses when he grapples, but he never looks worried or on the defensive. He'll just stand there like he's thinking, then when he gets an idea it's like 3 moves till armbar

  • @kozmon0t thats a part of catch wrestling you set a trap for your opponent, its not about power or speed its all about techniques and catching your opponent. very effective form of grappling i just started training in it and i love it. its about how to keep control and set traps for your opponent and "catch" them in a subs or reversals... sounds easy but it ain't cause all the technique involved with your body and your mind... scientific wrestling is what it is in fact... i love it so far

  • whatch 4:06 great move!!!

  • man sakurba is legend, he is one of the only few good japanese mma fighters thats agile and has good ground work also striking, i think he couldve even made it int he ufc!!!

  • @kftkft well he did defeat someone in the ufc early in his career before pride so ya i agree with u

  • Haha Drowning Pool metal for the win xD

  • sakuraba is a true legend and why have you got wrestling vs jiu jitssu DUMB ASS there both jiu jitsu experts neither 1 are known for there wrestling

  • @y3sprint youre a fuckin idiot. saku is a catch wrestler and was a freestyle wrestler in high school and university.

  • @blagoiivanov yes but but hes not known for wrestleing in mma NO shit heAD HE SUBMITS EVERYONE THICK FUCK

  • @y3sprint Sakuraba is very much known for wrestling. He was from Takada dojo for one which is a pro wrestling camp. His base is Freestyle and Catch wrestling which he is very well known for. the moves he uses, including the kimura, armbar, kneebars were around long before GJJ in the catch wrestling arts. They go back to the old greek Pancratian wrestling which Catch wrestling derives from.

  • cmon just give him the wals of jericho xD

  • I dont know why you call it Wrestling vs BJJ. Do you think Sakurabas fighting style is pro wrestling? Sakuraba also has an awesome BJJ if he didnt had that great BJJ any Gracie he fought would have submited him but he won against most of the Gracies and even submited some of them because he also has a great BJJ.

  • @kdafalcan

Sakuraba spent the vast majority of his training time in "puroresu", not BJJ. He grapples like a shoot wrestler, not a BJJ guy. Google "shooto" if you want to see it in action. Yeah, he's done some training with BJJ guys, but it's a side line to him. Rickson trained some wrestling but that doesn't make him a wrestler and he didn't win his fights due to the wrestling (though I'm sure it helped).

  • @BlueNegation he's a catch as can catch wrestler to be exact, taught by Billy Robinson. It's a submission wrestling style that's centuries older than GJJ. He also has a freestyle/collegiate wrestling base being a national champ as a frosh at his university and beating 3 olympic medalists

  • @panther2552 Yeah, I'm familiar with catch. It's good stuff. Older doesn't mean better, though! Gotta give dues where they're owed (though no more than that). BJJ is good stuff too - just not an answer to everything, like Sakuraba proved. War Saku!

  • Well you don't need to submit in order to lose a match, you could get your arm broken or K.O.ed.

I don't see what is so brave in not submitting. If you opponent is better then you, has your trapped and is about to break your arm the only reason not to tap is pure foolish pride.

  • @rexregum How about you actually learn what Renzo said after, which is that he felt he could still win. Yeah, totally foolish pride, right?

Renzo has balls. Nothing more to it.

  • @Ligierthegreensun and thats balls to you???? all the gracies have there head so far up thier ass that dame even if they brushed there teeth it still smells lk shit. wat if they kept fighting wat if saku broke that other arm will renzo still feel the same "i felt i could have won"????that guy is stupid

  • @Asakuro777 BAAAW. Yeah, he probably would. It's called having heart, something clearly you know nothing about. But I guess it's easy to talk shit from a keyboard.

  • @Ligierthegreensun BAAWWW no your confused its not heart its called pride but for him its more lke his head is up his ass. i mean sht all the gracies should be undeafeted but they are not so wat do you say about that?

  • renzo's arm got broken in this fight...he's cocky and proud and im not one to like him but he has class...he said his arm was broken by sakuraba and thats punishment for him because of the mistake he made...

  • 2:40 Sakuraba is such a goofball =] if that had turned into a submission it probably would've made world news.

  • @gutsu91 shut up dick face saku is a real fighter

  • @y3sprint woah, calm down man, I love sakuraba. I was in no way insulting him if that's what you think.

  • MAJOR BJJ FAIL!!!!!!!! thought renzo was taught to get out of that??????

  • @Asakuro777 Why don't you go teach him how it's done?

  • @Ligierthegreensun i would but his head is so far up his ass he wont listen..

  • @Asakuro777 Or you'd get tapped the fuck out because you're an internet tough guy.

  • @Ligierthegreensun hey thats my line but to me it comes crashing down to just straight up tought guy or badmathafucker alont those lines. im sure hed tap me out, but i could knock his fucking ass out!!!!!

  • ima bj bluebelt dude bjj is the best way of fighitng when it comes to the ground man

  • oh wow i thought this was going to be an actual fight but its just another disappointment

  • Stupid music.

  • im the only one who turn off the sound?

  • name of the song?

  • @alinbjj Can't remember, but if I recall correctly the bands name is drowning pool

  • @alinbjj Got it,Sermon by Drowning Pool

  • @alinbjj Pride fixed quite a few fights, none of sak's to my knowledge (the rampage/sak fight was rumored to be a work, but that might be rampage blowing smoke up people's asses for his own amusement. He was offered a loss bonus by pride tho), but there were quite a few pride matches that were fixed:

Coleman/Takada was a clear work, in fact most of takada's matches in pride were works.

The first pride was mostly works, but that's because they were following a work-shoot style at the time.
