  • Yes, I think this lasted for all of one season if it lasted for that long.

  • Wat year was this?

  • @kzfive I believe this was from 1981. That would be about 7 years after the show initial run ended. Unfortunately, the popularity of this show and the 1988 "Very Brady Christmas" movie led to the assinine "drama-dy" series "The Brady's" on CBS. Wretched. I have to say that Marcia could have done WAY better than that curly-haired dog Wally. He looks like he'd be more interested in Greg or Bobby (before his hair lightened & he packed on 200 lbs.)

  • OMG I REMEMBER THIS! i didn't remember what it was but i remember the house with all their stuff in it! i wasn't born when it came on originally but in the 90s as a kid i watched. it was on like tv land or nick at nite or something lol

  • My Gosh I just do not remember this at all

  • WHAT?

  • No Cindy, no care

    LOL

  • does anyone have the actual wedding? I can't find it on here.

  • Wally was a fag

  • that.... is... a... lame... theme song lol

  • noooooo ahhahaahahah AHAHAHA Alice aswell ahahaha how CORNY!!!! :)

  • OK Jan is an architect in this series and Phillip is a scientist and they can't afford their own house? Yet, Mike managed to raise all them kids as an architect alone

  • @markxxx21 so true...yet maybe they had bad credit.............lol!!!

  • @markxxx21 Inflation is a bitch!

  • @markxxx21 Architecture was just a front for Mike's illegal money-making activities. He had several offshore accounts.

  • @markxxx21 I guess times have changed...lol

  • Comment removed

  • @markxxx21 Inflation mustve been much worse on this show....or the realtor took advantage of Jan and Marcia...

  • @markxxx21 and with a house keeper

  • I love that Alice stayed around with them. "And Ann B. Davis as Alice" :)

  • but Cartoon Network is going to revive it (The Brady Brides) at night time when CN signs off and Paramount Classic Plus signs on along with classic Paramount/DreamWorks favorites such as Clueless, Milk Money, Forces of Nature, Mouse Hunt, Clockstoppers, American Beauty, The Road to El Dorado, The Love Letter, Forrest Gump, Tommy Boy, Top Gun, The Godfather Part II and Gladiator.

  • @befron2012

Where did you learn all of this? It all sound quite facinating to me!

  • LOL, this is way too cheezy. You almost don't even need to watch it because the song explains everything. They got married in the house? lol

  • THANK GOD this series was mercifully canceled!

  • :21 looks like Mitch from "That 70's Show".

  • OH MY GOD>>>THis has GOT to win the award for the MOST CORNIEST SHIT ON TELLY!!!!!Thats real bad!!!

  • dose any one have this series and all or the 1990's show the Brades the hole sries that some can up lode when I wave them I have all of the brady bunch shows made with the real cast please up lode iu you have then

  • LisaK7100@ you going into more detail then this song is

  • Jan knew Phillip for a few years and Marcia only knew Wally less than a month!

  • I remember watching this on The Family Channel years ago. Does anyone have any full eps they can post, would love to see it again. Love the theme song, it's so over the top, thanks for posting

  • @video77ab I have the episodes on a VCR tape from the Family Channel in 1997. I still have my VCR, but it's not hooked up. Don't know if it still works.

  • i always loved how Alice just pops in at the last second XD

  • If u could can u upload the full episodes please. Thanks

  • just another laverne and shirley rip off except their sisters instead of ugly dykes..

  • bodleladle, I've seen MUCH uglier dykes!

  • even Alice could not save this shit

  • And Alice still picking up after their S*#*t.

  • I wonder if they had a very brady orgy ? (someone had to ask) :)

  • @video77ab i wonder if alic was wering her mads uniform

  • I feel as if the Jan who was jealous of Marsha would have NEVER shared her wedding day with her, costs be damned.

  • @Nakabe125

I guess that almost anything can be outgrown. Even jealously!

  • @Smartboy8877 That's true. I also never saw the movie that preceded this show, so I don't really know the story of how Jan and Marcia ended up with a double wedding.

  • @Nakabe125

The movie ended up a four-episode series called "The Brady Girls Get Married". I know that it was up on "Youtube" at one point, but I do not know if it is still there.

  • Nakabe125, did you see "The Brady Girls Get Married?" Jan lost her temper when her parents mentioned Marcia because Marcia was the oldest and they expected the oldest daughter to marry first. Mike and Carol apologized, and even admitted that "kids in love always have trouble with their parents."

  • WTF?

  • Wowee wowsers!I thought I'd hallucinated this show!It really existed!

  • omg who thought this was a good idea!??!

  • @natalya82 People who did lots and lots of cocaine in the late 70's, that's who. ;-)

  • JediMasterCheryl, Maureen McCormick had a cocaine problem herself.

  • Amazing. I have no words.

    Except...

    Why is Alice there?

  • @Nakabe125

This is the second post that I have read in regards to the fact that Alice is there! I am wondering why people think that is such a significant point.

  • @Smartboy8877 Lol, you have a point. I think it's because the intro goes into so much detail about everything else, that it's interesting that they omitted a reason for Alice's presence. I guess we are supposed to take it for granted the way we did the first time?

But then, I guess it's possible that somewhere on youtube, somebody is seeing the original Brady Bunch intro for the first time and commenting 'who's that woman in the middle?'

  • @Nakabe125

You have just given my some very interesting food for thought!

  • @Nakabe125

In the show, we learn that Alice just happens to live in the neighboorhood, so that's why she's there.

  • i liked this show.

by the way, i think i caught a glimps of that same brass head board used in "love American style"

  • This was a HORRIBLE series! cannot believe that Eve Plumb was coaxed back to do this, I understand that it was truly a big regret for her and I don't blame her , one to definitely keep off the resume!

  • @RedDogLunch I'm sure she is wiping away her tears of regret, with her piles of residual money.

  • Of course Alice has to be a part of this!

  • omg that intro is AWFUL. It's like they put together every corny 80's sitcom cliche (including cheesy theme song, the "goofy" guy acting crazy, showing the characters in zany situations including a blatant rip off scene from the original brady bunch where they split the room in two with paper, and even 2 of the characters bumping their heads together by accident when they bend down.) Oh Puh-LEASE!!

  • i think its amazing they kept the same actors for the husbands in "a very brady xmas"

  • @SuperLegalTender maureen mccormick married wally in real life and she said is still married

  • @phillygirl06! i love it!! thank u so much, i never knew that!!

  • Oh, no..i had to re-read what it said. Maureen is not married to jerry houser who played Wally. He introduced her to her husband that she is still with at a church. My mistake I'm so sorry.

  • phillygirl06, hold it! Did you see Maureen McCormick's biography? In real life, she married Michael Cummings and had a daughter, Natalie.

  • fox family is awesome and needs to come back! abcfamily is full of too many teen dramas.

  • Cute show. Too bad it didn't last.

  • Where are Barry, Chris, Mike, Susan and company?

  • Great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon! It is about the popular actor who tried out for the part of Mike Brady!

  • wasn't David Hedison first choice as well?

  • Is there an episode like how they showed here in this intro of when they carry the brides over the threshold?

  • I never cared for phillip

  • morgan8757, neither did I! He was "too stiff" for anyone to have a conversation with, and I can't believe Jan married a man like that.

  • lol, its sounds so similar to the brady bunch theme!!!

  • The reason this was a series is because Fred Silverman, NBC's chief programmer at the time, was looking for ANYTHING that would be an instant ratings success for his network. He previously did business with Sherwood Schwartz on two "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND" reunion movies (the third was the end of the line as far as reviving that series); when Sherwood brought the idea of "The Brady Girls Get Married" TV movie to him, Fred decided a series could successfully be spun off from it. It didn't last long.

  • But then..but THEN..but THEN...the brothers Zucker and Jon Abrahams [associated with the very same studio, Paramount Pictures], decided to bring their very eccelent 1980 theatrical classic "Airplane!"'s format to TV, only in "Police Squad", which also was a short lived 1982 series from the same studio that made, and spun off the Bradys.

  • Then both Police Squad and the Bradys had future revivals [Police Squad's was the Naked Gun films]. & Paramount DID release in 1982 by an unknown, "Airplane 2", and in the 90s TWO Brady movies directed by Betty Thomas..and Florence Henderson and Ann B.Davis have Police Swaud/'Naked Gun connections..and then..and THEN...

  • beautiful voices in this theme song

  • @michaelmoval ....you're kidding, right? You've got to be... lol

  • Its a new life, for two girls named Brady, who have left the bunch to make it on their own. Jan fell in love with a man named Phillip, The nicest guy she knows. In the meantime, along came Wally, hes different than Phil in every way, soon the girls are headed for a double wedding, a very special day. A house is too expensive for each couple, The only way to buy one they decide, is to share the cost by moving in together, thats the way that they became The Brady Brides.
  • "In the meantime, along came Wally"...

  • Does anyone know what the line is at 00:18? All I got was 'It's a new time for ** Wally'.

  • In the mean time/along came Wally

  • bennjr, I did like Wally, but he was too irresponsible.

  • LOL! I remember this. It only lasted a short amount of time for obvious reasons but you gotta love the 80s.

  • That Theme song goes into WAAAAAAY to much detail explaining the situation. LOL!

  • hahahahahahahahahaha...very true.

  • And the theme song of the original show didn't? This was a typical Brady spin off show. All didn't last long. First there was the Brady Bunch Variety Hour, then the Brady Brides, A Very Brady Christmas (which was not too bad- they should have stopped here) and finally the Bradys (in which Bobby became a parapeliegic, Marcia became an alcholic, and other more serious problems then the problems they had on the original show). I like the Brady Bunch, but most of the reunion shows were bad.

  • The original theme song is JUST SHORT of being too extra.

  • Yeah, the Brady Christmas was really the only one worth watching.

As for The Bradys (nicknamed "bradysomething" to suggest that it was a lot like the ABC hit on around that time called "thirtysomething"), it may have had a chance if CBS didn't insist on putting it up against "Full House" on Friday night in The Brady Bunch's old time slot. Oh, and the lame scripts and all the extra Bradys (like a wee Jonathan Taylor Thomas as Greg's son Kevin).

  • alwrig, yes, his real name is Jonathan Weiss.

  • @LisaK7100 Yes, he used the name Weiss on "The Bradys" show. No one believed me when I said Jonathan Taylor Thomas wasn't his real name.

  • i couldn't agree more it's a just a tad corny but it made me smile

  • To think Marcia was freebasing blow during this time, that would've made a better movie.

  • I hated how they paired the Brady girls up with two of the homliest and dorkiest guys ever. Marcia marrying that Wally the Walrus loser? Give me a break! No wonder the show died a quick death.

  • kataisa3, I've seen MUCH uglier guys than them! Anyway, Wally was immature and Phillip was

    "too old-fashioned".

  • @kataisa3 I agree, but jan is not that good looking herself. Marcia however.......

  • It's so great to now know that she was all coked up during the shooting of this show. Makes her even hotter..

  • Ha! I used to watch this show....rotfl!! Thanks for posting this vid, good memories!

  • I love the simultaneous head nods at the end. I really miss the 80s.

  • Jan grew up to be an architect and her husband was a scientist and they couldn't afford a HOUSE? Geez, Mr Brady raised six kids and a housekeeper with a wife that didn't work.

  • @markxxx21 It was a lot easier to make ends meet back in the '70s. When I was a kid my family didn't have much money. I thought The Brady Bunch were the tv Rockefellers. It really blew me away when they were able to bring the entire family to Hawaii. We were lucky to get a weekend at the Jersey Shore. They were even able to take in Cousin Oliver. But that marked the end of the show. He really was a jinx.

  • @Jefgg In the Hawaiian episodes, Mike's firm pays for him and his family. I assume Mike picks up the cost for Alice, 'cause heaven forbid, Carol should actual DO something. :o)

And when they went to Cincinnati, Mike's firm picked up the cost and at the end, Mike even says the firm will pay for them to stay extra.

And they only had to buy one set of clothes for Greg and Marica and they'd just hand them down till they reached Bobby and Cindy :o)

  • @markxxx21 -..lol yeah thats a huge hole in the plot..lmao

  • @markxxx21 ....Reaganomics! lol...

  • @markxxx21 times has changed! haha

  • @markxxx21 things are more expensive! thats y many ppl stay home with their parents till their 30 these days, and the economy makes it harder to find well- paying jobs

  • markxxx21, Here's why they bought the house together:

    1. Marcia worked as a designer for "Casual Clothes"

    2. Jan was only an architect for a year

    3. Phillip was a college professor

    4. Wally was a toy salesmen for the "Tyler Toy Company"

They were trying to put money away for homes of their own.

  • markxxx21, Phillip was a teacher for 3 years and Jan was an architect for only one year when they got married, so they needed to put extra money away for a house.

  • @markxxx21 talk about a bum economy.

  • Brady Brides- was this a movie or a show ( series) I cant dind it anywhere, anyone got it on VHS :)

  • maybe they had bad credit!!

  • SEEpip, "The Brady Girls Get Married" was a movie, while "The Brady Brides" was a TV show.

  • Most Brady fans love all the remke's of the show even if they are "crap"I just love it!I agree with (XtoxicnessX)They should make a series "The bradys all grown up"They could just write out good old mike off and focus on the familie's strenth of carol's strugles of being a widow! And have move in with the kid's!How sad am i???!!!

  • Hey, this is the show where Bob Eubanks gets a flat tire and invites the couples on "The Newlywed Game". Classic!

  • palmercomm, who could forget the military man who couldn't stop kissing his wife and they eventually left to have sex?

  • Cornball Extreme...Love it!

  • i wanted to make a show called "The Bradys All Grown Up." But I can't contact sherwood schwartz.

  • You couldn't do it without Robert Reed. And he's dead.

  • Carol would just marry another man and have her kids take on his last name, too.

  • I agree with (XtoxicnessX)They should make a show "The Bradys all grown up"Maybe Caryl could be Mike's "Bless his heart"widow and have live with one of her kids or grand kids and or live with Alice!!??I think any remake is fun for any one who loved the origional TBB show!!I only wish they aired "The Brady's 1990)in australia even if it was a crap!!!!

  • heartdaveyheart, It's hard to know if Carol would remarry, since the show went off the air.

  • As a major fan of any Brady Bunch shows I have to say that the fact that all Brady related show being canceled is completely stupid. So the kids grew up, whats the big deal!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually Im the biggest Brady fan.Just telln ya.

  • i miss this show!!!!

  • I was obsessed with this show when it came on Fox Family (when it WAS Fox Family)! Ah! Those were the days....

  • this is such a great show! i miss it... i wish it was on again

  • bad dose not say how much this progam was it was beyond good tast

  • lol My mom taped this for me when I was like, 5. I watch that tape probably a hundred times.

  • I'm such a big fan of the Brady Bunch, but I've never EVER heard of this before today... weird...

  • well thats just pushing it ill tell you that much

  • Say what you want about the horrible cheesiness of the concept and show, they got very creative with the lyrics to make them fit into the original song...and it actually works.

  • I used to love The Brady Bunch back in the late 70's when it appeared in the UK, but Thank God we never got this show. Thats terrible!!!

  • freddyffc, I was disappointed, too, but the movie "The Brady Girls Get Married" was funny and I loved their dresses. Marcia was a modern bride, while Jan was a classic bride.

  • Omg,I remember this show!

  • What the heck was Alice doing on this show?? Could the family never get rid of her? Exactly WHAT did she have on them that they kept her around. Couldn't the actress land any other work besides appearing as the help in Brady Bunch spin-offs??

  • Oh come on, you have to love the giant Alice headbutt at the end.

  • Alice was finally married by this time, anyway.

  • Not2Gr8t, Alice was more than a housekeeper - she was a member of the family.

  • Not2Gr8t, when Alice married Sam, they moved into a new home in their neighborhood.

  • Actually, this show wouldn't have been so horrific had they not had the kid Harry (as he played no real part in the show). I don't think anyone from "TBB" other than Carol and Alice appeared in it in any cameos.

  • It looks like Alice moved in with them. Can't have been much fun for the newlyweds. Jan was a real looker, also had bigger tits than Marcia.

  • h1aa, really? Between Phillip and Wally, which one did you think have a bigger member?

  • That would be polygamy!

  • Who would marry these two bimbos?

  • Hey Bimbos make the best brides!!

  • OctoberSaint, they sure do!

  • Is it me or did anyone notice the brass bed from "Love, American Style"?

  • It's kinda hard to tell because of the poor quality of the video but if you look at 00.45 of the running time you will see Robert Reed's face is blurred out (I have a much clearer copy at home). Reed so objected to this new series he refused to allow his picture from this scene from "The Brady Girls Get Married" to be used in the opening credits.

  • Wow! Totally! If anyone has any episodes on VHS, I'd pay kindly for them.

  • well looks like even marsha did cocaine... i seen her on tv.talking about it..wow..

  • pekoe, yes, Maureen McCormick did say that she had a drug problem.

  • Classic!!

  • The show is so bad its good!

  • is christine taylor related to maureen mccormick cos they look very alike?

  • Nah, they're not related. But one of the reasons why Christine was hired to play Marcia in The Brady Bunch Movies was because of her striking resemblence to Maureen.

  • @PsycadelicShack... uhh..... DUH!! lol

  • iluvsheep, the first time I saw Christine Taylor, I nearly fell over because she looked so much like Maureen McCormick!

  • I love Jerry Houser...his face makes me smile:)

  • mistyrow, Jerry Houser provided Bamm Bamm's voice in 3 Flintstone movies!
