ok try the following and let me know what happens.
1) remove the hard drive completley
2) if you have 2 rams "memory dimms" leave just 1 of them
3) start the laptop and leave it like that for 15 minutes, even if it says no operating system found or error "because hard disk is out" and see if it restarts like it did before.
