good tutorial!! One thing you did not mention is that if you click on the eye of your two middle layers you can colour sample straight from the photo for stuff like hair or clothing so that you are not guessing at what would be realistic. just FYI

NICE!!! I had a question!!at the end even if i start with the color skin,... at the end when I go Filter, sketch, halftone pathern and 7 50 dot.... the skin turns color BLUE!!! WHY???I tried also diferent sketches and all gave the BLUE result.

@ksugostosa i think it has something to do with the proper updates being installed. i have ran it to this on multiple occasions and never seemed to resolve itself until the software had updated.

The last step, adding the halftone, doesn't work, at least in Photoshop CS4. When the halftoning is applied, the entire image assumes the last color used with the paintbrush; therefore, the finished piece is halftoned, but one color only. I haven't figured out the fix for this, but the halftoning step does not work. Please post the solution if you know what it is. Thanks!

Solution: Change the foreground color to white and apply the halftone pattern to the threshold layer. Size 1, Contrast 3 works quite nicely. If you have an alternate solution, please post it. Thanks!
