its sickenig that the stephen rea vampire, after killing claudia and the woman, just gives a "oh well" smile at him, just such a bastard! glad louis sliced him up later on!
At 0:40, Louis realizes that after he lost his plantation, his life, his mentor Lestat, that he will finally lose that last thing he holds dear to his heart; Claudia. Then at the moment of realization, (1:58), his grief of the sight he bears turns to an utter rage, from which he uses to kill all the traitorous vampires that smile at him. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
The part when they tare Louis and Claudia's hands apart is just heartbreaking, mostly for people who have read the books. It's the last time he sees her when she's alive. :'(
Vampire's are a magnificent piece of both the supernatural & mythology. I was always that boy in school back in the 90s who wanted to be a Vampire & always wore Vampire costumes each halloween. But after watching Interview with the Vampire, I can only say that intention of wanting to be a Vampire, if they were real, is the most thoughtless and reckless thing to ever come into ones mind. They are forever damned, forever sick, & eternally a walking piece of Evil regardless of their innocence.
3:52 is so intensely mournful...It perfectly conveys when Louis reaches out to carress Claudia's burnt, ashen body, and Claudia's and Madeleine's burnt remains just disintegrate like cigarette ashes. Brad Pitt's face in this scene powerfully, poignantly expresses Louis' loss and heartache. I think Brad's nonverbal acting in this film was superior to most of his dialogue.
Favorite song in the whole IWTV ost...and it features Libera me..and the instrumental before that is so powerful, I think that's the part where they capture Louis and Claudia, and also when Louis kills the vampires with a scythe...epic.
I love this music, it's actually very nice to listen to, and my ears do not bleed (They never do, I just wanted to say that) and all of the IWTV music is great. Great usage of all the classical instruments, I just wish I was good enough in the violin to play some if it.
Lol. I should know this considering I did music at school for six years and played French horn in the orchestra but what is a contrabass trombone? Whatever it is, I guess it must be pleasing to see usage of some instruments in music. I, for one, think there are not enough bassoon solos in the world lol.
