Hey I just bought this amp and i've only had it a few days. But i'm worried that maybe I got cheated and should have bought a peavey vypyr 30 instead. So far I havn't had any problems but i'm just curious if anyone has any negative things about it or problems versus the Peavey??

I'm considering trading in my two Spider IV 15 watts for two of these, since I got a foot-board channel switcher and if i don't manually change it on the amp, when switching channels a lot of the nobs aren't set to zero to start, which is especially annoying for clean as an echo is always on when first switched. So, I need to make sure, this model doesn't have the same channel-switching issue, does it?

@ramiabuhamra1 I would definately reccomend the 30 watt for bedroom practise. If you are jamming with a band, the 30 watt can still work, but there is a significant amount of feedback, although it still gets the job done.. So basically practicing id say 30 and jamming id say 75.

@ramiabuhamra1 Always remember a Solid State amp (No Tubes) is going to be much louder that tube amp! So a 30 watt Solid State is gonna be closer to a 50 watt tube amp.

Respond to this video... What the back of an amp looks like is part of its design. A "semi-open" back (or in this case - completely open back) is going to be much brighter sounding that a "closed" back which would produce a better low-end (bass) response - generally speaking, and not taking into account the speakers too.

@Brentypooz get the 75 watts... the clean and has 2 ways: Clean and Jazz.... the crunch is the sema (almost)... the metal is clearer XD.... but the insane its way way better in the 75 watts version... hope that clears doubts ... cya

Toda vez que vc muda de distorção, ele desregula totalmente a equalização, sendo preciso mexer nas chaves novamente para ele voltar ao timbre normal... isso nos spider III de baixa potência axo que nos 75w+ não existe esse problema.

nesse review ele era pra equalizar toda vez que mudasse de distorção, por isso o som ta magro e feio.

for those interested, the clean channel at high volume sounds really bad. Other than that: real good amp for that price!
