Hahahaha its so fucking funny, EVERYBODY in my homeland the Netherlands always complains about the loudness if an airport wants to expand ( A lot of action groups etc!), and look at this.. It seems that the Hong Kong people doesn't give a FUCK about the loudness of the airplanes, as long as they can benefit from the tourist and the trade with other countries!! :D

This Airport shut down 13 years ago. Hong Kong is now served by the newer Hong Kong International Airport which is about 30KM West to the Old Airport (Kai Tak).

This is from extremely poor city planning. That is why HK international airport were build to avoid disaster that will happen. This is something that Chinese government did right since airport is the true lifeline of economic developments. Like typical way of things happens in Asia, someone actually have to die from an accident before anything is done.

Yes, because the plane has to make a big turn before landing and it gets so close to the ground that there is no room for error.
