BERLIN (Reuters) – A German court has ordered former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore to pay damages after ruling the guitar solo in his 1990 hit "Still Got the Blues" had been plagiarized from a German song written in 1974.
A court in the southern city of Munich said on Wednesday the solo in Moore's song was too similar to the one in "Nordrach" by the band Jud's Gallery not to have been copied
@MrRicardo11 - Sloman wasn't the singer on Abominog or that tour. That was Peter Goalby. Sloman was only with the band for a year before they broke up. He was not invited back by Mick Box when he reformed the group in 1982. Sloman did do a great job with Think It Over, though. That's a great version of the song - better than the one that ended up on Abominog.
@B5Erik Maybe it was not the Abominog tour, but it was definitely John Sloman i saw with them at the Glasgow Apollo , and you are correct, about "Think It Over", he sang it excellently. He was a very charismatic front man. I thought that he deserved much more recognition.
Geez what a fucking song.... put more John Sloman songs. He is faaaaaaaaar better than many many many many crap singers

@CloudFROST
Concordo.
