@screwattack Just so you're aware, nunchucks (nunchaku before someone corrects me), are actually a good weapon, ESPECIALLY in pairs (if you can use them).

Their best quality, though I say I have to narrow it being excellent against other weapons;

It's use allows for disarming of another weapon, tilting around defenses and hitting their wrists.

They definitely should have added more to this. I mean, Michaelangelo is the best skateboarder of the group I think and Don should have had access to all of the crazy stuff he builds. I mean, Don obviously doesn't have as much skill in melee but if brings out a laser then the odds shift quite a deal.

Ouch, you guys burned Mikey hard.

I'm not saying Leo wasn't right, strategically speaking, to attack Michelangelo first, but you guys REALLY glazed over him and ignored his redeeming points.  While Mikey doesn't train very seriously he's also more into athletics than the others (skateboarding and such), and thus is very strong in balance and agility. When he's focused, that is. In day-to-day life he is easily distracted (thus, comic relief) but his attention rarely wanes during a fight.

Indeed. He may not have the best technique as a ninja, but when it comes to feats of general athleticism and balance, he is quite competitive and a bit of a showoff. That's exactly why it's believable to me that Mike could beat Raph, the hothead. Mikey can easily frustrate aggressive opponents, especially if they have trouble landing a hit. Leonardo and Donatello are more level-headed, and thus would fare better against him.

From what I understand, giving the Nunchaku to the least disciplined student is acutely a good idea. Since they are so difficult to control much less use effectively in combat, they demand attention and practice. These are virtues Mickey clearly needs and keep in mind he is still just a teenager, so he's still got time to master them twirly sticks.

Very true. If Michelangelo was given a straightforward weapon to randomly swing around he'd probably never get anywhere. Giving a weapon that risks smacking himself in the face if used improperly gives him something to focus on and helps keep his head on straight during combat.
