It's also not that easy when you're been playing beruit on Langdon st since 7:00 am then hit up the KK for a couple hurricanes followed by shots at Brats, Wando's, and Brothers all while sneaking a flask of Jameson into the stadium to maintain the "enthusiasm" during the game. Wilson protected the ball - he made plays, but also threw it out of boundswhen he needed to--played a smarter game & kept us on track. Playing catch up without a steady passing game kept the Huskers one-dimensional for 2.5 Quarters. But the Husker running game was no joke. Martinez protects the ball & it would've been the game we all wanted to see. ON WISCONSIN!

WISC defense made immediate adjustments to UNL offensive gameplan and flushed it down the toilet in the first quarter. honestly though, it really wasnt WISC crowd in Madison that destroyed UNL. . .it was WISC football team that destroyed UNL on the field. Their recruiting area of the state of Nebraska, with 1.8 Million people, is much smaller than Ohio 11.5 Million, or Wisconsin 5.7 Million. And with the lack of major population centers, the quality of competition in high school will not be high enough to prepare them for the Big Ten. Playing against schools from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado, with two major schools each, gave them an inflated sense of their ability.
