Awesome bro's! I'm just a few lights down from there:) The trailer park I live in leads me right to the Rillito River:) I love checking the bed whenever it rains!
I grew up right around the corner from there on Mtn. This Vid wasnt even possible until the storm drain aka "the sink" was built in the late 70s. I saw that current & wash eat cars, vans, & trucks. Just swept them away. Clueless students used to canoe down Mtn all the way from the UofA...until they got to that corner..then they'd jump ship in a wild, desperate panic to not go into the wash & die! They'd go by our home & we'd tell them to stop but they'd blow us off. We always got the last laugh!
wow, that was cool. I got this video off of the arizona webcams site. It was a link. Is kayaking a wash legal? I just moved here and after these last monsoons (9/11/08) it would be cool to do that!
I dont know if its legal, Im assuming not, but I seriously doubt anyone is going to stop you! Youre not supposed to quad or camp in the washes either, but we do it 24/7, if I had a kayak, I would definitely take advantage of the pantano when its flowing good.
