  • Outstanding! Selvin has always been among my favorites.

  • @Paal1994 Thanks! And mine too!

  • I just keep coming back to this tune, it's so darned infectious! Love it!

  • @BrucePartingtonPlans Well thank you! Hope it is contagious!

  • Energetic is definitely the word, and many fun little surprises on this record! A real toe tapper and then some!

  • @75capriceconvertible Thanks! I know, it's got so many different little sections and each one is a delight!

  • Wow, I love these hot rhythms! A favorite song!

  • @camille885 Thanks!

  • What a great version!

  • @althazarr Thanks! I'm somewhat overwhelmed by the response this one has gotten. I was amazed at how good this version was too! Like I told someone else, this tune doesn't seem to have been very widely recorded, I don't know if it even made it onto Brunswick.

  • I never heard this version before, I have by Paul whiteman, like this one better myself, excellent sounding machine!

  • @Turkeydoodlers Thanks! Same here, the Whiteman was the only other one I'd ever heard, and it's very good.

  • I only knew of Whiteman's version that I had posted.

This one is sooo smooth! SUPER!!

So fun to hear a new version!!

  • @MultiMartiniman Thanks! To have been as popular as it was, I don't think it even made it onto Brunswick or any of the other labels like so many other tunes of the day did like Copenhagen or Hard Hearted Hannah to name a couple.

  • This reminds me of "Anything Goes" !!

  • @RamonaFromPomona And I'll bet anything did!

  • @VictrolaJazz lol

  • Nice one !

  • @RamonaFromPomona Thanks!

  • That's what I call "Jazz" ! Nice ! Very nice ! 14 time of the Wonderful Sax solo at the begining ! Thanks!

  • @lepaysandu You've got that exactly right--"Jazz"! It's got so many separate and distinct parts that make it so interesting!

  • @VictrolaJazz Thanks yes you've right about the many parts, I would coments that's, but infortunatly I don't have much words for this in English ... Thanks !

  • @lepaysandu Thanks again! You have nothing to apologize for! You're English is far better than my French!

  • This ranks right up there with Paul Whiteman's version! SUPERB!

Yet another record to hunt for.........

  • @MultiMartiniman Thanks! Yes, the Whiteman was the only one I was familiar with until I heard this one and was just thrilled to get it. I think it was a Kurt Nauck reject that I got on a visit to Houston a couple of years ago.

  • Those Selvin´s are awesome, great energetic arrangement, such deep bass in this record, and even being a Viva Tonal that is supposed th have a lack of bass compared to electric Victors.

  • @rordorica Thanks! This is one I hadn't heard until recently and I was just thunderstruck at both the quality of the recording and the arrangement!

  • Would like to respond to all your videos, but would rather watch than get cramp! All marvellous, so please take this as a thanks for them all!

  • @PJBGORDON I know what you mean and you're quite welcome!

  • Great Columbia -

  • @HarborGuy Thanks!

  • These early electrical Columbia discs give a great sound - especially on such a superb gramophone. Wonderful combination! Many thanks for sharing it.

  • @PJBGORDON Thanks! They certainly do! This one is not in the great a condition and yet it plays quite well anyway!

  • What a great side! Many thanks for letting us all hear it.

  • @muscleco Thanks! It was all my pleasure!

  • LOVE THE WA-WA TRUMPETS....GREAT VERSION! CAN'T KEEP MY DOGGIES STILL...HA. THANKS FOR SHARING.

  • @bill3murr Thanks! I was really blown over by this one--the only other one I was familiar with was Whiteman's, and it's really good too!
