I was very disapointed with it. As you can see I've sold it as soon as possible. The worst thing on CX-3 was bas sound. Afwul... :( Just keep your VK-8. ;)
Thanks Andy again. Yes, I think also that my P100 has the best sound. Many people say that spinet models aren't so good but I really can't agree with them. Only thing I would like to have is a real tube Leslie like the 147 I had one year ago. :( IMHO, don't replace your VK with CX-3. I was very disapointed with CX-3. It's a good toy, I like it's features like two sets of drawbars, seperate v/chorus for upper and lover manual, but it sound isn't so god as VK's. Belive me, M100 is realy great!
Wow! I´ve heard all your versions (VK8, CX3 II) and i like the sound of the P-100 best. I play my VK-8 since 3 years with a 760er Leslie with MIG II (same as yours). I'm looking for a New CX3 but i'm not sure, if i like the sound better. Some people say, it's more synthetic as VK8. I don't like the sound of the VK8 with 147er in your video and with my 760er i hear same things, i don't like in the mid-range.
I always heard, P-100 = cheap (bad?) M-100, but i like this sound very much!
Also, I have to addmit that when I recorded Little wing with my VK and 147 I didn't know how to set my sound right because it was my first day with the 147. Oh, how I wish to record the same sound on that Leslie. :(
