  • RICK SIMPSON NEEDS TO BE ON TV!!!!

why?! this issue is never exposed enough!!

Rick Simpson has cured hundreds of peoples cancer by EATING!! activated oil!!!!

  • that old guy looks like a meth-head

  • lol the host definitely smokes pot

  • sorry didn't mean to post that 3 times, nothing was happening (no I'm not stoned either, ha ha)

  • Chemotherapy treatment affects every cell in a patient's body, especially bone marrow that is the source of white blood cells. It sucks the life out of your body and causes EXCRUCIATING bone and muscle pain. Marijuana is a natural herb that's been used for hundreds of years (including many commercial uses, like Woody Harrelson supports). Its just wrong that I live in NY and can't legally use cannibas as an alternative pain therapy!!!!

  • legalize it!

  • Why is it that prohibition guys always look dead inside?

  • Bruce Mirken tell 'em!

  • DERRP!! haha

  • Hahaha

This narcotics prohib is a walking joke!

What the heck is he doped up on before the interview? Half a bottle of NyQuil?

"Sir, what are they smoking in RhodeIsland?"

    (silence . . .) "well, they're smoking marijuana." "Derp!"

  • I wish I could make it clear for these idiots that bring up the "smoking weed isn't healthy." You're absolutely right, smoking anything at all isnt healthy. But who are they to dictate what we want to put in our own bodies? They don't care about our health personally so I'd wish they'd quit raising our health as an issue.

  • @Kaniac424 You have a very good point.

  • man that poor old fool on the right... i swear its like watchin a kid with downs finding out that theres no easter bunny.

  • the 2 pharmaceuticals that are similar to marijuana DON'T contain the same compounds as marijuana...thc, cbd. cbn CANNOT be reproduced synthetically, marinol is not chemically the same as thc...

  • the old guys face throughout the video was priceless lol!!

  • haha, the bald guy against marijuana got destroyed by MPP, and the host of the show. Thats funny as hell.

  • By the way there is no chemical or substance in weed that makes it addictive so learn that. Now ciggaretts are so why shouldn't that be kept off the market?

  • marijuana isnt a drug dumbass

God never made a drug that naturally grew from the ground lol

its a plant, and like they said, alcohol and tobacco kill thousands per year while marijuana doesnt kill any

that includes when people drive after smoking it

  • Marijuana IS a drug. It gets you HIGH. It gets you FUCKED UP. It alters your brain. You act different on it. You can fall asleep from it. We already have enough legal drugs already. Legalizing them will send a message to the youth that its ok to use drugs and get high. Theres too many drug addicts and drug dealers. We need to get rid of them! You want both drunk AND high drivers on the road. I for one dont!

How is that not a drug?

  • IF by acting different you mean laugh more, sleep better, be happier, feel relaxed, then by all means it changes the way you act. It doesn't stop the fact that you are still you. It isn't as intense of a drug as people think it is

  • I'm sorry does alcohol not fuck you up too? just wondering.

  • @tatomuck18 gahahahahahaha are you serious? you have to be kidding right? send a message to youth that its okay? haha the majority of pot smokers are the youth!!! ask the average middle aged guy where to get weed, you know whatr hell tell you? his sons room!

  • @tylowylo12321 Now...that's not always the round way it goes!

  • @tylowylo12321 ...and I wish I was still middle aged.

  • Legalizing drugs will only HELP the drug cartels and addicts!!

If its ILLEGAL, they take SERIOUS RISKS, from buying, selling and possessing it. Having any contact with the drugs while its illegal can put them in jail for decades...

And if its LEGAL, they will have nothing to worry about. They can sell it and possess it all they want BECAUSE ITS LEGAL!

You want these drug cartels to really take over and kill more people and fuck up neighborhoods?

  • @tatomuck18

your an idiot... that's all I have to say...

  • Cartels lets say make $200 per client. illegal

Cartels lets say now will make $30-40. legal

why should i go to a cartel or a dealer where who knows were the pot has been.

WHEN i can go to a dispensery and get pot there were i know its safe

  • @tatomuck18 ey if its legal what reason would they hav to kill an fuck people up

  • @KAMMAK991

    What about opium?

  • One word only....

    PWNED!!

    ... :s

  • Again, argument from the anti-cannabis side demonstrates the point of wanting to create a pill..

..one would assume so that companies can profit.

  • That old dude on the right looks completely out of it and clueless.

  • I'm a disabled Veteran I'm prescribed Neurotin, for miagrainsand back spasms, paxil for depression, Ativan for anxiety and panic attacks, Klonipin for onsomnia, and Darviset for pain. I get these from the VA, Tax payer dollars pay for my prescriptions. It's a waste of tax dollars. If it was legal for me to smoke Marajuana, imagine the tax payer dollars we could save, with just me? now think about the millions of other Disabled Veterans that are the same way. Think America!

  • Yes sir, more should think about it. I tell all that I can.

I'm also supplying to a Vet with back problems, If its not medicine then why are people turning down prescription narcotics for it, you know? lol.

I wonder how someone can see that negatively.

  • This reminds me of the tea party scene from Alice in Wonderland. From left, March Hare, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit.

  • Here's some food for thought, and it's mysteriously absent from this discussion, is asset forfeiture. This allows the police to "seize" any, cars, homes, valuables, cash after they accuse a person of distribution. This is a big money-maker for law enforcement, and they don't like to talk about it. Furthermore, if you admit guilt to avoid jail, your property is gone. If you win your case, now you get to fight with them in court about the return of your property.

  • The prohibition guy sounds as though he's impaired by marijuana, but he has no excuse like the potheads.

  • LEGALIZE IT!!!..WEED KILLS CANCER

  • are you high or just blowing smoke? You now want high AND drug drivers on the road. There is ALREADY ENOUGH DRUGS already LEGAL. By legalizing marijuana, your sending a message to the youth that its ok to use drugs, and its ok to get high.

  • @tatomuck18 Hi how's it going. I'm a brainwashed christian trying to put my 2 cents worth into a debate I know shit about.

  • The government show like 40 million commercials every day that advertise legal drugs, alcohol and surgeries that WILL FUCKING KILL YOU! Marijuana has never killed anyone and never will because its impossible.

Now tell me, who's sending a worse message, a marijuana advocate, or the governement that tells you its ok to take those prescriptions with potential deadly side effects?

  • Prescription drugs NEED A PRESCRIPTION by a LICENSED DOCTOR!!! There is a STRICT DOSE for each time you use them. Its no recreational street fun drug! There are WARNINGS on the label if you take them the wrong way. If you dont have a prescription for that prescription medication, you SHOULDNT BE TAKING IT!!! Thats why you NEED A PRESCRIPTION for it.

Stop trying to mix shit up. You can drink alcohol in moderation without getting drunk. You cant with marijuana. One puff and you will be high.

  • OK have you ever smoked marijuana? apperently not cause 1 puff will not get you high for some. Marijuana is a lot like drinking. the more you do at one time the more you get high or drunk. It all depends on your body. some bodies can handle a hit and barely get high. some will take a puff and be super high. but it's the same with alcohol. some people can take a shot without even feeling anything. but if i take a shot i already get dizzy and dishoriented.

  • NO ONE IS FORCING ANYONE TO USE THESE DRUGS!!!

Theres already way too many drugs already legal. We get dangerous drug addicts and drug dealers everywhere committing crimes and ruining neighborhoods.. It needs to stop. We have to get rid of this and say NO, to drugs! Parents need to step up to the plate and say tell their kids NO! When the DEA gets rid of these criminals, the community applauds them for doing that right thing.

  • What about alcohol or smoking? or even pills for that matter? pills are not healthy i dont care what they say. you see a commercial for a pill. have you ever heard of a pill that cant cause side effects?

  • WRITE YOUR SENATORS TODAY

Tell them to support HR 2943, which would support the federal removal of all penalties for possession of marijuana.

We cannot afford to be silent

  • all these "other drugs" result in an excess of unnecessary harmful side effects you simply do not encounter with medical marijuana

  • WOW this guy has no clue what he's talking about. I was prescribed xanax by my docor, xanax makes you verry tired, and can be addictive, marijuana may be addictive, but then again so is alcohol and soda... really people, think before you open your ignorent mouth's and listen to what you are saying. You can od on tylonol and asprin, you cant on marijuana. Where is the logic?

  • in the 5000 years marijuana no person has ever ODed. asprin kills 108 people annualy! Marijuana can help head aches, nausia, and makes a great pain reliever. The side affects of asprin are death, liver failure, seizures and much much more.

  • Comment removed

  • actually, there is no medical evidence EVER reported marajuana being addictive. I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I just thought I'd let you know.

  • This Terrence... He's high or something?

Rambling like a byrocratic shaman with an Democracy umbrella

  • No need to legalize... Only Decriminalize!

  • While decriminalization would be a lot better than what we've got now, it still leaves an industry worth billions completely unregulated, untaxed, and in the hands of gangs.

  • Why you say only decriminalize?

  • This piece of SHIT American saying it has no medical Value? What a piece of white shit. I have Cadasil and it has been proven that it helps prevent the attacks on my brain and killing my small veins. PLUS I VAPOR so i dont need to hear this crap from people who have personal gains in meds that kill us everyday.

  • lmfao this guy is not only contradicting himself he is helping our point lol he is getting completely destroyed in the arguement

  • LEGALIZE IT ALREADY!

  • remember when reporters use to scof and laugh at cannabis reports, now, they support it, they look like idots now if they dont. You try to argue that cannabis is more harmeful than tobacco you look like an ass that hasn't been wiped.

  • wat makes me mad is that they should make this show longer so that they can reveal da lies of da "non legalizers"

    LEGALIZE HERB!!!!!

  • lol "the legalisers" how fucking unoriginal

  • Its also going to be voted oon in maine this november

  • no scientific evidence???????????? WTF, im so sick of listing off medical organizations that say we need medical weed, to douch bads like the drug free america

  • Bruce is smoooth ,well said

  • "we say it's going to hurt you" - well we say that cigarettes are gonna hurt you. And that Alcohol is going to hurt you...But you haven't fought to criminalize that have you fuck face!

  • Terrence Farley's grandkids are going to be so embarrassed to be related to him - it won't be long before he will look like one the ignorant folk who tried to justify the Jim Crow laws, the criminalization of homosexuality and those who were against women's suffrage.

  • plus they could be making crazy money on it like how dumb are they ????

  • i no right... JUST SAY NO!! JUST SAY NO TO ADDITIONAL REVENUE!! WE ALREADY HAVE PLEANTY!! lol yeah right

  • notice the guy against it is like 70 yrs old. that is why pot is illegal cause the goverment is made up of a bunch of old fucking idiots who think they no what they are talking about cause they laballed it a narcotic back in the day thats just stupid but once those old farts die out and the younger guys are in there it will be legal in no time :D

  • he looks like a fuckin zombie

  • he smoked a bleezy before the news segment

  • he had a blank stare most of the time while the "legalizer" and the host smashed his ass. does anyone know of any debates like this that the prohibitionist has won? iv never seen one.

  • 1:20 I jumped out of me seat. FREEDOM in America NOW!

    Peace, Love and Cannabis

  • Bruce really had to scrub his samurai sword after this encounter ,, The black caustic blood of the deceiver stains all that it touches.

  • terrence got burned @420 into the vid!!!!!!!

    how fitting

  • If you want to take action and contact your state repersentatives to tell them to legalize marijuana go to norml(.)org click on take action, then click on what can I do?, then click on contact repersentatives. From there you can send a prewriten E-mail or print out a leter to send to your state repersentatives. Together we can make a difference. Let your voice be heard!

  • Terrence looks stoned...

    The entire time...

  • terrence is such a tool

  • Hey terrance, how does your ass feel after being raped?

  • omg this stupid old bastard against marijuana is so stupid its ridiculous. Every sentence he spoke was totally false.

  • agreed. spouting BS because it's all he has left. nice to see Bruce Merken kick his ass

  • We seriously need to legalize this healing herb. Its nothing to fear. Its perfect medicine for insomnia.

  • worrrrrrd. same here

  • OW3D! Legalize the green!

  • Bruce Merkin rules everyone he debates!

He's always so cool and collect, but he never wastes an opportunity to own an opponent!

    Way to go MPP

  • "uh...obviously they're smokin' marijuana......(silence)." LMFAO. seems like he's not quite running clean to me either.

    one love.

  • these debate are very funny.... its almost always the same shit... one guy agaisnt says his facts are coorect while the other (who is right) says all his facts... Luckily the new reporter is for legalized marijuna... He is right at the end when he says this is changing.... it realy is i see marijuna legal very soon

  • Anyone else think the old guy looks fucking BAKED?

  • If anything he looks drunk, he slurs a lot of words, and makes no sense really.

  • Ya of course, he probably thinks alcohol is a very safe drunk which doesn't kill anyone ever.

  • Should it be a state issue? Of course it should, it always HAS been, "and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands..." the feds have never had legal right to bust medical marijuana clinics.

  • it shouldn't be a federal, state, or local issue.. it should be an individual one... seriously, no government should have the right to tell it's citizens what they can and can't do in the privacy of their own home; it's unconstitutional

  • exactly

  • @houli107 yes it should...

  • i got busted for buying 1,5 grams of weed recently

even the police felt guilty (next time be more cautious LOL)

its just sick that this stuff is illegal while so much worse is happening... it costs taxdollars like hell and it has no benefit to prosecute marijuana

  • Medical marijuana is a term similiar to intelligent design. If you want to smoke pot, go ahead. But lets not pretend this issue is about only helping the sick.

  • NO EVIDENCE????????? That's bollocks.

  • Whats with the media and their horrible weed puns?

  • The real problem is that if marijuana is legalized the crime rate will drop dramatically low reducing the # of arrest which will cost ppl like that task force chief there jobs...The economy will suffer due to it. Kinda like whats happening in the netherlands at the moment theres very low crime there which is a severe crisis imagine all those cops that got laid off and all those prisons they closed down...there economy is suffering American does'nt want a repeat of that here.

  • it is true that police will lose jobs but what about all the other industries that will flourish. food industry, glass makers, and the hemp industry. there are probable more jobs gained thhen lost

  • Hey theyouthis If you want google up the problems in the netherlands they are findin ways to make up for the lack of crime however check it out for urself and give me ur opinion on it. U make a good point too.

  • they are taking in prisoners from neighboring countries in exchange for money. as long as these prisoners are people who have proven that they can not live free in society i see no problem with it. it allows them to keep enploying 1200 people and takes stress of the belgian jails. so not only will the jobs stay but the netherlands will end up with a little extra cash in the pocket.

  • I see you looked it up and yea it seems like a great solution however do you think we would do that? Take in prisoners from south america, africa or the middle east?

  • many prisons are privitly owned. it probable doesnt matter to them whos paying them to hold prisoners or even if there guilty of anything. put having said that it would be more exspensive to send prisoners here then to build their own prisons(exept maybe canada). if anything i could imagine the american government outsourceing the justice system. That sounds kinda messed up though

  • What u mean outsourcing?

  • lowing the cost of inprisonment by getting other countries to do it for us. lol kinda messed up put i wouldnt put it passed us if the dept gets worse.

  • damn dat narcotics officer prolly locked thousands of ppl up for yrs for marijuana consumption or possesion....i guess he is the Countries hero

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK YEAH PWNED!!!

Its about time that our government opens its eyes

I wish I knew who this anchorman is

I would like to write to him

This war on marijuana really is KILLING people

Its not the plant that's killing them its them not being able to get their medicine

    They way I see it

    RE-DUCE RE-USE RE-LEGALIZE

  • huh? what?

  • FUCKING OWNED.

    Wake up America.

  • HAHAHA at 1:27

"no scientific evidence..." and mirken starts laughing. Priceless

  • Regardless of whether or not we legalize people are still going to smoke. I pray if we do legalize that potency and price are not controlled by the government. I would hate to see the marijuana industry looking like the tobacco or alcohol industry because of the crooked tactics they use to market these items.

  • yeah youre right about

it should be highly regulated in my opinion but illegal? were rational human beings and we should understand by now that you cant prosecute people for smoking pot wtf

  • people would just grow their own

  • Oh, and his slack jaw vacant stare for the end of the interview. Can't forget that.

  • 'Obviously they're smoking marijuana.'

I like how he looks a lot less healthy thant he marijuana advocate and sorta looks down when he responds in such a corny fashion.

  • hey does anybody know who the anchor is? he's alright with me about time an anchor doesn't butcher the guy for weed. at least he gave him a good chance and come on its only time before it becomes legal. we already know its less harmful and yes ill admit it many of the ppl getting permits to smoke it in L.A are just doing so they can get high. BUT doesn't that mean that their will be a market for it. whatever the point is its time for change and we dont have the money to be picky on how we do it.

  • This Mirkin fellow is a bold faced liar!

But this is what I like to see in the news. Anchors AGAINST prohibition. I'm a conservative, but I have absolutely no respect for the people (hypocrites) who oppose the legalization of this plant.

  • Comment removed

  • Well I am glad that you corrected me. The OTHER guy whose name I don't care to know is the bold faced one. And a stodgy old coot to boot

  • I think it is CLEAR who is full of shit here and who is not.

  • Once again I will say - medical be damned, it is the mildest of any legal or illegal things one can do. People drink, people should be allowed to smoke/ingest marijuana.

It gives a new outlook knowing that some of the top senators and their wives have huge interest in PHARMACEUTICALS (humm) imagine that

  • your full of yourself baldy

  • Cannabis can cure some forms of cancer. Cannabis is a miracle plant.

  • lol so one-sided, but at least its on the favorable side

  • The specific delivery systems should be illegal according to this moronic bureaucrat. You can smoke twigs, bibles or chamomile for Christ's sake!

One can still vaporize or cook marijuana and still get the protective and medicinal effects while avoiding the carcinogens involved in burning the material.

This is an old propaganda stunt, move on, you know you're wrong.

  • FYI there are not carcinogens in marijuana. smoked or not, it has not possible chance to give you any form of cancer.

  • Actually there are carcinogens, but the difference is that the THC counteracts the carcinogens. Because there ARE carcinogens, every scientific study conducted has expected there to be a correlation between smoking weed and lung cancer, but have been surprised to not find any correlation.

  • It's odd how he said "Legitimate medicines" what makes it legit? Being synthetically produced and patented? How about if it.. idk... WORKS???

But, on the other hand, I don't like the "medical uses" argument, even though it's a good one. I think cannabis should be legal for everyone who is of age, because adults have the right to make their own choices about what they consume or do not consume.

  • VERY well said Zombie

  • When he said that, I yelled at my computer "BUT ALL THOSE CAN KILL YOU!"

That man was quite possibly the worst person the opposition could have gotten

  • For some people there is no other way to take it unless they vaporize it. Some people are so ill they can't eat it. Vaporizing it is a more effective way of delivering it and the effects are felt within seconds. This Old man gets his ass handed to him, he sounds like a idiot just like everybody else thats for keeping weed illegal. The facts are stated day in and day out just get it done. LEGALIZE IT, DON'T CRITICIZE!

  • this shit always stresses me out, I dont like watching these videos anymore.. just legalize it, I dont want to talk about it anymore.

  • dude you could eat a weed lollipop to get high you dont need to smoke it

  • It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom. Keep that in mind at all times.

  • Hallelujah!!!

  • LEGALIZE OR I WILL EAT SHIT

  • what the fuck

  • LMFAO.

Everyone needs to Thumb Up this comment.

  • its not legalized yet... so...

  • lol at "Terrance, what are they smokin over there in Rhode Island??"answer"Uuhhh, obviously there smokin marijuana" NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

  • Hey old Terrance hurry up and go away! Ganja is the tree of life! "Piles of peer reviewed..."

  • They also forgetting about food containing THC, which eliminates the smoking problem right there. The idealists have no foundation anymore.

  • mmp best approach to dealing with beurocrats on this issue - you gotta play to the game to get change. Hippies dont work.

  • Additionally, these anti-drug warriors always seem to forget that drugs are a STATES' RIGHTS issue. Nixon's war on drugs was unconstitutional from the very beginning--the Constitution clearly does not give the federal government the right to regulate substances. This is why alcohol prohibition was enacted through the use of a constitutional AMENDMENT.

  • The fact is that most of the legal drugs this bureaucrat is referring to contain highly addictive opioid chemicals and can lead to serious addictions like those of Rush Limbaugh. Additionally, many cancer and AIDS patients find these pharmaceutical drugs unpleasant. As far as smoking is concerned, that should be a freedom of the patient. Vaporizing is surely the safest and quickest delivery method but some prefer to smoke and there is nothing wrong with that.

  • "what're they smoking there in Rhode Island?"

old guy: "obviously, they're smoking marijuana."

    *silence*

    Llolool

  • its like no shit sherlock

  • ya 4 the past 60 years!

  • North Carolina

    WOOOOOOT

  • If u have a circus in your head like me or people like Doug Stanhope(great comedian) then alcohol and cannabis are a bliss, docters call it ADD and offer u dangerous drugs so u can be a productive.

This fight/debate reminds me of how flawed our dutch cannabis laws are, they just closed our local coffee shop because they hat more then 500 gram in house, note that this shop has over 900 customers per day, and sell 1 to 5 gram per customer.

  • obviously... I'm a douche

  • Jesus that host sucks at what he does.

  • that drug enforcment tool was an absolute mess. he didn't have his facts straight, and he looked like he was on meth, he looked sick, maybe he should smoke some "medicine"

  • I have this strange feeling that MPP don't want marijuana to be used recreationally....

  • What makes you think that? (I'm not criticizing your idea, I'm just wondering)

  • Because they seem to put extreme emphasis on medicinal use, and when the reporter mentions people take advantage of the laws to use it recreationally, instead of defending the recreational use, he changes the subject.

(and because on the channel description says "MPP does not promote the illegal use of marijuana.")

  • Well from my point of view, the MPP is focusing primarily on medical marijuana because it's the first step to changing the policies on cannabis, for all purposes. First, we take care of those who need it, and then we can take care of those who want it. As for the description, I think there's a rational explanation. They do not promote the illegal use of the substance, yes, but they believe that people should have the choice once it's legal. Nobody wants to encourage people to violate the law.

  • ya they cant go and say "let evary one smoke it" the have to take one step at a time

  • MPP is not addressing the recreational use at this time as the focus is CLEARLY on medical marijuana use! Once it's become legal through out the USA( which it should be)then I strongly believe MPP and other pro weed organizations will tackle the recreational use becoming legal!

  • The green wave i rolling! There is no stopping it now. It is just a matter of time before we can enjoy this beatiful plant out in the open...

    Fuck prohibition...

  • GOD DAMN! good work bruce, i love the MPP staff and all they are doing for the world, all i hope is it will some day be legal in other countried in europes other than netherlands

  • lmfao pwned so hard

  • bruce mirken..i love this stoner. he looks blazed everytime hes on tv, but listen to this man! what a well spoken dude..go MPP!!!
