  • better quality then the wii u

  • @Jeremy56421 lol are you joking. the wii u has better graphics than the ps3

  • @HackerHandBook if so the PS3 remains the most powerful 7-generation and third wii

  • @evicreepy what?

  • That actually looks kinda fun.

  • sega saturn like ^^

  • suddenly I want GTA for the GBA.

  • Minecraft on gba pl0x XD

  • driver gba is like gta.

  • I like how he walks -12 mph.

  • Almost like PS1 Graphics :P

  • @1PlayerD Not really.

The GBA could have 3D space, but a really low polygon count. (about on par with doom)

  • this is a Previous Gen Console

  • 2d and 2.5d work best for gba, 3d games on gba turn out really ugly

  • oh shit i gotta get me one of these!

  • 10fps cool!!!

  • Cool it had ps3 graphics

  • Check out the driver games on GBA. Their as close to this as you can get.

  • Well check out Driver for GBA it's very impressive.

  • This is a real game?

  • wow all cars are the same but good game though

  • Holy shit looks better as a ds game

  • @knastbube

    Hardly.

  • I play old games too, i started playing games when i was like 5, when there wasen't even cd's, but there are things i dont quite like...

    Wii, gameboys and psp's...

But it's not because of that. It would be so pointless to waste a few thousands dollars making a 3d gta for gameboy, and it would not be a GTA ever, can't have pedestrians, cars, big city, big story, cant have anything, all it can have is something from A to B nothing more, and i dont think much ppl would buy it, so pointless...

  • How Do You Make GBA Games?

  • @deadfrontiersims U dont make GBA games, Developers do!

  • in my opinion ps2 is the best selling console on the market. it came out in 1999 or 2000 and ppl still buy it and they still make games 4 it. thats like 11 years. but this is just my opinion

  • there still making games for dreamcast and atari jaguar.

  • actually no. the last game for dreamcast was NHL 2K2 that came out in 2002. and for the atari jaguar stopped making games in 1996. only indie devs game company still makes games under the table but ther over 80 bucks each! damn. but i own both consoles and i still like them both

  • @zeroexe003

he means homebrew games, like this gba game... its not an official game

  • who here thinks that gba was impressive while ds is a bit of a let down?

nintendo promissed better graphics than n64, but ds games don't even have texture filtering

  • Do you even own a DSi? THe Nintendo DS holds the SAME label that the GBA did: AWESOME.. The Nintendo DS is the best handheld ever made.

  • no, I don't

there are no games for the dsi that really showcase the upgraded hardware

  • Yes there are... About 2 or 3.

  • @gtas123 have youplay gb, gbc, gba they were impressive for their time, the ds no

  • @rolaahp no they werent compare the gb and gbc and gba to the atari lynx and even game gear nintendo have always released handheld consoles that use previous gen technology compared to all their competitors.

  • I owned a GBC, GBA, etc.. The DS is overall better. That is why it sold more.

  • @gtas123 no because it has a touch screen and is more friendly

  • The DS has a touchscreen too -_-

  • Iphone has a touch screen too....

  • No, because it reflects what the GBA was and keeps it bput expands upon it making it ALOT better.

  • @gtas123 :( my phone is a better handheld at least it can handle quake 3.

  • Your phone isnt a gaming device, you fail. And the DS is the most successful handheld of all time.

  • Oh but it is, so you fail I'm afraid.

The DS is only successful because its Nintendo. Very few of the games even interest me in the slightest either. When it was released its hardware was already last-gen. I would rather get a Pandora and play my fav games from every console from psp and dreamcast downwards (possibly even DS soon)

  • Your a complete idiot, I actually OWN a Nintendo DSi. It is the best handheld gaming system ever made.

  • How am I an idiot? I never said you didnt own one; I just said they are shit technology, which is true.

How is a DSI the best handheld system ever made? It is 9 year old tech comparable more to the gp32 from 2001 than even the psp from 2004 or even the Pandora or gp2x/wiz since.

Come to think of it, the DSI is actually the worst handheld on the market! (of course unless you like games like puppies and horses and ponies and all this inane shit I see being sold for the DS that is all complete wank

  • So you think Dementium 2, Metroid prime Hunters, or COD has puppies and horses? you idiot, you even insulted the PSP LOL! Of course all the game system right now are OUTDATED YOU RETARD. The PS3 and 360 are just as dated as the DS! DS technology is from the year 2004, PSP technology is from 2005. Get ir right tardo.

  • Cod is on better platforms, metroid is good i admit, but its one of very few.

Also RETARDO the point I was making was that each DS revision including the first release has been outdated FROM THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED "TARDO" which it was.

  • And the iPhone is also outdated.. it is such a weak system it can't even handle a game like Resistance Restibution... And the DS, even though using outdated hardware, is one of the best selling handhelds of all time and easily makes it's way to one of the BEST handhelds of all time.. I am pretty sure PSP could get on that list too.. ipod? WTH ? Thats NOT a gaming system. The ipod is a failure as it is, the Zune HD is much better.

  • Eh? Hang on a second any iphone could handle resistance retribution and the 3gs iphones are more powerful than an xbox

Yeah the DS may be the best selling but its not best by a long shot.

  • BTW psp was from 2004

  • If the PSP was from 2004 the DS is from 2003. Nintendo actually made two ahndhled systems.. One very powerful, about as powerful as the gamecube, and one about as powerful as the N64.. If the DS failed, then the they would release the other.

  • DS is from 2004 actually but uses circa 2000 technology.

  • But the DS hardware is actually fro 1998. PS hardware is from 2001.

  • I think Driver 3 maxed out the GBA

  • This is pretty much the best game ever.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOYEAAAAAAAAAAA

  • gba is last gen tho

  • @luke4liverpool Who cares? its still an awesome console ;D

  • @luke4liverpool REALLY?!

  • sabi nila maganda raw gameboy advance sp brighter screen

  • the n64 has 16,7 million colors availeble the nds has only 260,ooo colors.

the problem with n63 cartrides is it can only store 256 mb will nds cartrides could store 1000 mb,cuzz memory becomes cheaper & smaller today.

the n64 runs at 93mhz, the nds runs at 67mhz but the ndsi runs at 133 mhz!!!!!!!

  • is this a real game?

  • Dude , the n64 shows its games on a BIG BIG screen. if you would put a n64 game on the SMALL SMALL nds screen, it would look like a Dreamcast game, that means NICE NICE!

  • im mad that the gba COULD do this, but no games like this that i know of were released

  • i know what u mean, this proves GTA could have been made on GBA like the real GTA's

  • @TheAmysworld Actually i dont see that. and i dont see the point of wasting a bloody hetre making a crapt game for the piece of shit Game boy......

That shit has physics from 1980 or something, and it still fuckin lags bahhhh...

  • @guily6669 so..? I see that you never real now what its behind games .. that you never a real gamer are and that you only be a"grafic whore" . Not more. So... pls.. only shut up and never wrote here again. Btw. Iam a big collector of games and consoles. And its very funny to do this by yourself. ;)

  • @SONGOKU02 Yeah? And i see wooo gameplay in this gameboy color advance must be really very very awesome, even better than call of duty... Physics would be very impressive, gameplay would be very impressive, and graphics woulçd also be very impressive... seriously...

Gameboy color/advance i can even play any game of that crapt in my mobile phone N95 8 gb, i have the gameboy emulator...

GTA from xbox 360 already sucked for being just in a damn city, i didint liked much gta IV, and in GB haha...

  • @guily6669 dude.. its not only grafic and pfysics. Its gamepla and fun. How old are you?. Dude. really. I have even an nes emulator on my psp. The games diesent look that great . But there fun and thats the point. And when somebody grow up with an console, then they love it. See me. I love the Snes. Grow up with that and even make a rpg for it. :) Want to try to get the best out the console. Only that i can say, i love it so much. You would ever only want have the newest. Dude. thats pathetic.

  • @SONGOKU02 Yeah, but hey do u think is really worth for rockstar to make a full 3d gta for gameboy?

They have to waste a lot lot of time, they will have to give it full story, then they cant add cars and pedestrians on the road, or maybe one or two max...

ps: A full 3d GTA on gameboy, ps1, ps2, xbox (in this console isint that bad at all, but not awesome either.), wii, is just a big big waste of time nowadays, and u know that..

  • @guily6669 ähm... first. Rockstar have more than one studio. Like the psp versions, they dont produced from dan houser. 2. there are an game, thats lke chinatown wars.. with 3d n stuff on gba. It called payback. 3. In the time, gta advance coming out, the gba was the biggest handheld. 4. on ds they do it too, because it was the new console. and yes... even the old xbox, the dreamcast and other consoles have there fans, because they love them, and programm stuff for it.

  • @guily6669 why waste of time? the games are great on that consoles. Even nowadays. Or you mean, only because they got old, there arent good? Dude.. many games today doesent are worse than the old games.. ok not all but.. look on sonic adventure.. or mario 64.. Sega and Nintendo. I can much games say to you, there are better in old parts. Oh.. and btw. An hacked wii .. you can more do with it with an ps3 and 360. ;) I love my ps3 and its good as Core console. But real fans, not only want to play>

  • @guily6669 > the newest games.. Real gamer even play old games, when they are fun. And i as example have emulators on the wii, to play many old games. Even ps1 games i can play on it. ^^ So... whatever. When you doesent like this and think your badass and such a great gamer, because you good in some games there new... then think about it.. without the old games, there are non on the newest games! ;)

  • @TheAmysworld It was made like the real GTAs. GTA and GTAII were both top down, just like GTA Advance.

  • @TheAmysworld The real GTAs are overhead! You dont need any of the things shown in this demo for gta at all... ;)

  • @TheAmysworld but the problem is that, the cartridge would have been big as probably as a NES one because GTA games need map, story, activities and etc.

  • @TheAmysworld There is a GTA Advance for GBA.

  • @TheAmysworld

no it couldnt, somethin like gta needs tons of memmory

  • @Capeau I must inform you, that the "Gameboy advance" cartridges can easily handle a "Grand theft auto" installment", for the fact that its cartridges can hold a memory capacity of 256MB, although it lacks a well performed 3D processor. It can easily be accomplished, but the graphics would be down graded into a feature, that resembles a title that is known as "Driver 2" for the "Playstation".

  • @BipolarYogi

lol, you say that like you really believe it... 256mb aint enough dude...

  • @Capeau Since you find this humorous in some matter, then inform me of why you assume "256MB" would not be capable, to hold a simple downgraded installment of the "Grand theft auto series". I must inform you, that i am correcting you with logical facts and for you to assume that i am stating false information, is completely closed minded of you. By my judgement of your statement, it seems you do not know the definition of the term "downgraded" nor do you know of anything based on this topic.

  • @Capeau I assume, that you are stating this possibility of a downgraded "Grand theft auto" installment being capable to run on the "Gameboy advance" as a lie due to the fact, that you are imagining it with the same features, as the installments for the platforms.

  • @Capeau Also, i state this for the fact it is logical information. I recommend for you to search the title "Driver" for the Gameboy advance.

  • @Capeau Also the title "Driver2" for the Gameboy advance, only used a memory capacity of 3.54MB, which is barely an effect on the cartridge memory.

  • @BipolarYogi Uhh, dude? The GBA HAS an open-world, pseudo-3D game. It's Driv3r, the sequel to Driver 2. Hell, it even has Driver 2, seriously, there's no need to reply to this kid who's writing one sentence to you at a time. Jesus, arguing makes the internet look bad, so stop. D:

  • @PixieStixxandAdderal That's precisely what I have stated. That the "Gameboy advance" can handle a game, such as Driver, and a Grand theft auto installment. I never stated that it "couldn't". Read my statements, before you reply and I shall continue debating over any topic.

P.s. It lacks a well performed 3D processor. I should know of this. I'm a game designer.

  • @BipolarYogi Well, anyway, look up "Payback GBA". That game is full 3D and runs at a good framerate on the GBA. It's a GTA clone with an overhead view that actually looks like an early PS1 game, and greatly utilizes the GBA's 32-bit processing power. Also pretty damn fun once you get used to the controls.

  • @PixieStixxandAdderal Indeed, it does. I was simply informing this closed minded person, that the "Gameboy advance" is alot more powerful than he assumes. I'm pleased that you know of the true power it holds. Alot of people never understands, that the "GBA" has a 32-bit graphic capability. The "Playstation" has the same graphic capability, but it has a better 3D processor. Either way, the "Nintendo 64" owns them both, despite the fact of it's bottle necks.

    P.s. Send me a friend invite. :D

  • @BipolarYogi Sure, I'll add you, bro. And another thing I appreciate greatly about the N64 is it's ease of emulation. Compared to the PSX's .iso files, N64 cartridge backups are TINY in size, and almost any decent PC can play a lot of games at decent speeds.

  • @PixieStixxandAdderal I don't think its the fact that its easy to emulate, one of the most complex systems around and a high number of titles still don't feature perfect emulation (many titles feature missing effects). If you don't have a good rig, later games such as Perfect Dark can still cause headaches today.

PS1 is much easier emulated, an average home PC from 1999 could easily handle it whereas even average computers in 2005 where still struggling to run many n64 games.

  • @liveswired I got my HP Pavillion in 2005 with Intel Intergrated Graphics and 1.5g ram, and Perfect Dark runs smoothly (with minor graphics glitches) in Project 64. With a plug-in, the graphics glitches could be relieved, but the speed would be reduced.

  • @liveswired The n64 was easy to emulate because hacks were used, like UltraHLE, which skipped emulating the console.

Even then, the Sega Saturn is a more complex system, and don't get me started on the Xbox and any non-Wii current gen system.

  • the n64 has better graphics than the ds .

and thats the truth ,I think its because the n64 got a higher reolution.

  • Super Mario 64 compared to Super Mario 64 ds.

Mario Kart 64 compared to Mario Kart 64 ds.

God you people are stupid. MKDS's characters are made of polygons while MK64's characters are just sprites.

  • Mario Kart 64 DS?

    lolwut

  • The main development team of Mariokart 64 had just started going into 3D, so they didn't quite know how to do much.

  • I have a hard time beeleive that GBA could pump this... and I've played v-rally too.

  • I don't know, Driver came pretty close to this.

  • Its true, the DS technically IS faster in terms of GPU processing then the N64, but the main difference is that with its very low system RAM, it could only process so much (8-bit textures ftw).

  • The DS is also better in terms of visuals than the N64.

  • Not really, take a look at games like Conker. Excellent textures, high poly counts with basic shader outputs (Shiny helmets, reflective water, etc) and superior particle effects. Things the DS usually doesn't support/has difficulty handling without extensive optimization.

And what about Perfect Dark, Zelda Majora's Mask, etc etc. If the DS had the N64's video card, then god help us all, goodbye PSP.

  • Want some specs :P. Notice hwo the graphics in super mario 64 DS are better tahn the original 64 version. The specs on the DSi/DS lite suggest that the DS is more powerful tahn the N64 in almost every aspect. It can run all the agms that you stated. But ti would just be ahrd to migrate them to the DS

  • Oh wait.. You atre right.> The N64 does have a better graphics card than the DS.. But not by far at all.. Only by a very very small bit. For example, when you get close up on an N64 object you cant see the pixels.. But on the other hand. If you do it on the DS you can. The DS can run the games that you stated but it will be easier to see the pixels up close.

  • Your right, the DS (lawl DSi) and the N64's specs aren't that far from each other, but its the difference between running a game and not, especially back then.

Ex, if I had an Xbox 360 game, its 'POSSIBLE' to optimize it for the original Xbox, if I downgrade nearly all of the features. But the N64 games require features the DS does not support.

And btw the pixel-showing is called "linear-rendering" (You can see pixels) and "Bi/Trilinear rendering" (Pixels are smoothed together)

  • Yes, but the DS somewhat has much better graphics than the N64.. FO example, Metriod Prime Hunters has better graphics than any N64 game ever made...

  • @gtas123

Its still debatable, but Metroid Prime Hunters do sport higher poly counts, larger areas, significant enemy counts at once then on most N64 games.

The difference is that the N64 supports a higher rez (640x480) uses advanced shaders (DS uses very few), uses more Ram (8Mb compared to 4) and supports bi/trilinear filtering with Anti-aliasing (Which the DS does not).

So I stand that the N64 is still superior to the DS, but I love both systems anyways.

  • Its not superior.. Im talking about the DSi here.. THe N64's CPU is clocked at 94 mhz... While DSi's is 133 mhz..

And DSi also has more RAM.

  • @gtas123

Ah, sorry, but in this discussion we were not talking about the DSi, we were talking about the DS/Lite.

  • DSi is MUCH better than the DS Lite.. DS Liteis obsolete.

  • well, N64 rarely uses more than 320x240, only has 8 megs of mem when with a expansion pack, and almost never use "shaders" so to say.

and DS can use compressed DXT textures, and also has a much bigger media, to not mention the capacity of spitting twice triangles per second N64 can and etc.

but on the other hand, DS has a even smaller 256x192 resolution, no form of anti aliasing or bilinear filtering, and also lacks perspective correction, causing that warping texture problems.

  • Sorry, but in every aspect that statement is invalid. Side by side, the n64 has a better graphics processor and a much faster CPU. The DS doesn't have anywhere near the capabilities of the N64 as far as raw graphical or processing power.

  • It does.. They are both 64 bit consoles.. But I am comparing the DSi to the N64, its overall more powerful in every way. It has more RAM, better GPU, and CPU..

The DS Lite is barely more powerful than the N64.. I suppose it has more RAM.. And the CPU isnt faster either, neither is the GPU.. So the N64 is more powerful than the Lite, but nowhere as powerful as the DSi.. The DS Lite is outdated so wth even bring it up? WHY NOT THE LATEST MODEL?

  • I haven't yet seen a dsi game with texture filtering and besides there are almost no games only for dsi

  • What about DSiware? Lol the DSi Shop is FULL of games now..

  • DSi speed- 133 mhz

    DSi graphics- 64 bit

DSi RAM- 11 mb or more, I will go check

  • Oh yes, and since the DSi has more RAM it has better graphics.. Here are the technical specifications: CPU: The DSi has two ARM architecture CPUs; ARM9 and ARM7.[44] The main CPU is clocked at 133 MHz.[45]

RAM: 16 MB of RAM (four times as much as previous models)[29]

Storage: 256 MB of internal flash memory[46] with a SD card (up to 2 GB) and SDHC card (up to 32 GB) expansion slot[5]

    Wireless: 802.11b/g internal wireless connectivity[27]

  • You are correct, my statement was regarding the DS Lite. The DSi is a different story entirely.

  • Yeah, I think everyone with a DS lite should seriously upgrade..

  • That's because of texture filtering. The DS uses point by point which is pixels. The N64 uses a type of blurring technology to make it blurry up close. It hides its pixels, the DS cannot. As a result, DS games look sharper but N64 games look smoother.

  • They Should Have Made It

  • what is this game??? it has a great area to play for a GAMEBOY...

  • Is that u, or do the controls suck?

  • assomiglia a gta

  • The graphics although bad look good on the gba!

  • Where can this be downloaded from?

  • it looks like Driver but its not:D

  • GBA and NDS has a similar graphic power... But of corss DS its a way better, the Vram of NDS are two Vram of GBA working together... xD

  • Ehrm, wrong. NDS has an embedded GBA which serves one of the screens (selectable), while the other screen is served by a totally new architecture, having a processor a few times as fast, dedicated geometry processing unit, and a rasterization accelerator which can easily do half a dozen fully overlapping layers and generally better than N64 class graphics. The best things one can reach on a GBA are roughly 10 times below that in detail or performance.

  • Wrong, NDS can handle around 5-6000 polygons.

The vertex buffer on DS is 144k large, this amounts to 6k vertices with 24 bytes of data per vertex.

With naive triangle pushing it is 2k triangles, but by using triangle strips one can get almost 1 triangle per vertex sent.

So 2k vertices limit is only for lame homebrewers or really silly developers.

  • Uh, no a DS can handle around 122,8000 polygons per second >_>

  • You probably meant 122800 poly/s :D

I meant polys/frame. There is a hard limit on a number of polygons you can be output in a single scene or frame because of memory limitations. If recalculated onto per second, it would be 360000, but it may be the geometry processing hardware is not quite as fast.

  • Oh, I didn't get what you mean by your comment, by saying can handle 5-6000 polygons. Sorry, lol, =D

  • Um, is your DS on steroids ):/

  • No....

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS GAME

  • It doesn't have a name, its a TECH DEMO!

  • where did u get dis?

  • whats this game called?

  • The DS is capable of pretty good looking games. Call of Duty 4, Dementium, Metroid Prime Hunters, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Need for Speed: Pro Street, DS games that look pretty good.

  • That would be enough for simplistic 3D models, and the draw distance doesn't have to be enormous. Even on GTA for PSP, people disappear not too far from you.

  • this is a modded version of driver 2 that you put on your computer

  • If the GTA coming on DS becomes 2D, it'll be insulting the DS' potential IMO. If the GBA can do this, then the DS should have no trouble projecting GTA in 3D.

  • And, well, there's no excuse for GTA DS not to be in 3D. Games like Super Mario 64 DS and Tony Hawk have both shown what the DS can really do.

For GTA DS to be in 2d would only show that they were just going for a cheap cash-in.

  • agreed

i REALLY hope its in 3d, because top down is just rubbish...really....its the ds, look at things like metroid and zelda, theyve got fantastic graphics

  • Well, Zelda was top down though it had fantastic 3D graphics. GTA wouldn't work well as a top down, IMO. It's one of those games better off in 3D viewpoint. It's like making Doom 3 into a top down, doesn't work well for that type of game.

  • sorry? it sounded like you contradicted youself there?

can you say that again, ive just gone on an 8 hour brawlfest and had shitlioads of pepsi lol... hard to understand...stuff

  • Zelda Phantom Hourglass had a top down but it had great 3D graphics, it just had the camera like that. But, Grand Theft Auto wouldn't work well if it was made like that. Doom 3 wouldn't work well like that either, those 2 are games that are better off with a 3D camera.

  • phantom hourglass wasnt top down, it was sorta angled, its a cheaty way of putting something in 3d, but it was still a great game.

gta wouldnt work if it was half 3d like ph

itd have to be fully 3d like metroid prime hunters

    heres hoping!

  • What's that game??? I want it!

  • its a modded version of driver 2 for gba

  • The Gameboy Advance is 32-bit (2 Snes!)

  • the graphics are virtualy even better than n64.

  • the graphics on this game are like PS3 graphics to the gameboy

  • u're just waiting 4 a negative comment bout u huh?

  • im saying that it looks like psx, i know its gba!

  • oh ok then.....

speak more clearly next time because some people r idiots

  • yep, real, it was shown on the E3 (check for Graphic State on IGN if you don't believe me, the also made the games Star X [Starfox like Gba shooter],Dark Arena [Not sure about the name] and last but not least Crazy Taxi, aswell they took part in developing the engine for Zoo cube on th GBA)

  • wow, but i've never seen it b4, or heard of it ever :/

  • dang! nice graphics for gba, is this real???

  • Wow this looks very good.

Much better than most 3D GBA games.

  • This shows that a 3D GTA type game would work on the GBA.

  • GTA 2, lol

  • this looks pretty good

  • Wow, amazing! GBA is full of surprises. Why everyone should critic works like these? It's a GBA, not a PSP.

  • Its using Graphiv states engine (found in Crazy Taxi for GBA)
