@TheRealEstateStation Hey thanks! My grandmother made me promise to never eat out of another trashcan after she saw this footage. I obliged her request.
Mmm, nothing like angel treats left safely hidden in a trashcan, slow basking under a late June sun, lol. Did PA chew up your boots while you were chewing up all that good food? For me coming northbound, I think it was at highway 501 or something like that where I first noticed the rocks became like teeth, small, pointy and spaced out, yet no room in between to plant your foot evenly. And the rocks didn't give up once into NJ for a good while; though, I did notice a substantial improvement.
@BrokenAeroVT Those rocks don't give up much going N. till about Highpoint. They took there toll on me though, the last couple times thru in sandals. I never minded getting to the PA rocks, but was always glad by the time they ended. The trashcan at this location was removed years ago. There were many others along the way that were also removed. We use to race ahead of each other to get dibs!
@kookiemoose Most of the cans I saw were bear proof & worst of all, hiker proof. I was throwing away some trash in my cook kit when I noticed a lighter going ballistic--slow motion in my mind, yelling nnnnnNNNOOOOOOO! in that bassy Hollywood style as my hand reached 4 it but never quite made contact, lol. Fortunately, I carried several backups. There was plenty of trail angel food in coolers that could pass 4 food in trashcans, being that it became the trash can. I met Yogi the chipmunk at one.
so sad, that dog is probably no longer alive.
