After I adopted my second dog when I would come home from school she'd greet me like this. Now she is more chill and understands I'll be back, but it's nice to open the door to two pups happy to see me. Dogs rule!

Dogs remember people that are close to them! My dog had to live with my mother because I was in the marines, and when I came back after a tour, and visited my mum, the dog was crazy to see me! They are great to talk to as well.

@maryamsm This is a usually a result of big cities where you get alienated from nature like we came from a different planet. There are many animals you should be afraid of but definitely not dogs. there's only one way to actually overcome your fear and that's getting one for yourself. I'd reccomend you the friendliest of all which i believe are the golden retreivers. The breed that eats love and shits rainbows!

@maryamsm I don't understand where this fear of yours comes from but it's probably something you should work on. The world is full of dogs and most of them are not on a leash so you can't run away every time you encounter one of them otherwise you'll spend your entire life running. Forget getting one for yourself, obviously you're not ready yet. Try to find out if one of your friends has puppies or visit a pet store that has puppies and spend some time with them. Smaller dogs=smaller teeth

@georgetimtsios I was mostly raised in Iran which was in a 8 yr war with Iraq backed up by the U.S that came with a boycott that included shortage of rabies shots. Basically the dogs that were sick spread it widely amongst other street dogs and one bite from them was enough to kill us, so the country poisoned all dogs and told us not to encounter any. I am the child of those times thus the FEAR of dogs is engrained in my mind up to this day including millions of other Iranians.

@maryamsm Now i understand.It looks to me that politicians are to blame for this fear of yours rather dogs :) Anyway, i believe rabies shots are fluent nowadays although the chance of getting bitten by your own dog is very very slim.I've seen dog owners abuse their dogs with very cruel tactics and yet the dogs reaction is puzzlement for what they did wrong.A dog's heart is pure gold and only the finest human beings can compare with them in companionship, loyalty and unconditional love!

@georgetimtsios yah...i'm kind of sick of stopping my park walks just cause of unleashed dogs that walk faster than their owners...it really is a sad thing I have...I had a crazy cockatoo for yrs who'd bite me out of the blue and it'd really hurt too and bleed even but i still never got freaked out..i think of a dog's jaw as strong as a shark's and ahhh I'm Muslim so I can't get a dog due to the 5 times formal prayer that forbids dog hair and saliva on clothes or body.

my cousin has a Bernese Mountain Dog and sadly his life in declining...Sometimes he can barely get up due to arthritis in his legs/ankles and he can't get around the house and he is old for a dog that big. He is the best dog ever and I hope he becomes invincible!!

berners are very very loyal and loving. every time my mom pulls into the driveway when she gets home from work, I say "Bella, MOMMY'S HOME!!!" She looks at the door, barks, runs to the window, and before my mom can walk in the door Bella nearly knocks her down. Wont stop jumping, wagging her tail, panting. She just gets SO excited. It's adorable! They are the best dogs ever!
