Probablement l'un des groupes le plus prolifique et inventif des 30 dernières années ! Un sens rare de l'orchestration, un goût prononcé pour les mélodies totalement improbables.. Quant aux textes, ils coulent de la plume d'un grand poète [écrivain par ailleurs. À lire "Et l'âne vit l'ange", grossière traduction de "And the ass saw the angel"..]

@mesnais Anita Lane co-wrote the lyrics with Cave. I'm sure she was the inspiration. She wrote the entire lyrics to "Stranger Than Kindness" Oh yeah, and I agree with everything else you said.

I think that this version IS the best one ! The rhythm is perfect (fast but not "sloppy") : Wydler and Harvey impose the energy with their play, Kid pushes the sound to the limits (of saturation), Blixa.. is the dark side of the atmosphere ! I love the mesmerizing repetition of the same notes of the piano.. Pure masterpiece !

Heard it live at the Cinerama in Tel Aviv April 1995 in passover.

At the beginning of the gig some girl threw a box of chocolate to Nick and he was like "oh thank you I hope it is kosher....ok ok I want to tell you about a girl"....the ground was shaking when the music began....
