@noclouds111 I think its quote amazing is how the mind grasps to meaning in inanimate, unverifiable and unexperienced phenomena, all without question or need for evidence.
@inthespirit If yours' is a question, then the evidence lies in the 'doing', not just in the thinking. Thinking engages just the mind, and does not train the body. When through proper training, you develop complete control over mind & body, you will have all of the evidence. As far as the demonstration seen here, I can tell you directly that it is quite real. The meaning of the GM's demo is to get your attention.
The end-all of the practice is wholeness and your complete health.
It can result in a big confusion, if you don't know the historial background!
This is not a Qi Gong Master, mas a Moutain Taoist Monk named Chung-San, from south Korea. This is a video from his trip to Japan to demonstrate Kouksundo (known in the US only as Sundo). this video in particular was shot to Japan's National Television amd it's a demonstration of firing resisting hability throught Qi training (in KSD method). Master Chung-San sits in meditation position surround with flamming wood.
@inthespirit The GM's control over his mind and body, the complete union of his mind & body, and foremost, the union of his Spirit with that of the Universal Principle. These things are difficult to describe in words, and are most true when experienced first-hand through the practice of SunDo.
I should mention that the effects that you witness here are only byproducts of this practice, and that gaining the ability to withstand fire, or anything else, is not the intention of the practice.
Ive experienced powerful qigong healign from a master in sydney, he proects virtual electricity from his fingers.. this stuff is legite!

He protects his hair and uses shorts (for ethics) and stands the fire.
Master Chung-San teached KoukSundo during 20 years, then he left for the mountains never to be seen again. He left quite a legacy......
google it and you will understand.
