The polish king took over this land according the law and gave the new city the name of the nearest ruthenian fortress. The city is on polish land of Ledzianie. The name of this land is Ziemia Czerwieńska !!!
This area was mentioned for the first time in 981, when Vladimir the Great, Rus Grand Prince, occupied it during his western campaign. In 1018, it was retook by Poland, in 1031 annexed to Rus. It came under Polish control in 1340, when Casimir III of Poland recovered it.

Lwów is not international but the old, POLISH city, with Polish history and future. There is some ukrainian trashen now, but it'll change sooner or later.
@Restitutek Lviv had about 200,000 Poles in 1931. Now it has at least 700,000 Ukrainians. So technically the city is much more Ukrainian than "Polish" because in order to increase the population of the city, new buildings had to build. Those buildings were built by us, enough for 500,000 extra Ukrainians.

@Restitutek Neither did Ukraine... We never asked Poland to come to our lands and oppress our people. We fought many times against Polish rule. So be happy that Russia, at the very least, compensated you with German lands. Otherwise, Poland should have been half the size of what it is now.

@Restitutek It just so happened that on these topics I did not read "Ukrainian" books and lectures. Poland was itself responsible for what happened. Clearly Poles wouldn't get much support when they actively took away all of the basic rights from Ukrainians. Ukrainians were treated as "scum" on their own lands. Clearly Poles wouldn't get much support when they actively took away all of the basic rights from Ukrainians. Ukrainians were treated as "scum" on their own lands. Like Newton's Law states, "for every action, there is an equal an opposite reaction." You should have learned your lesson from Chmelnicki Uprising. You didn't, live with the consequences.

@Restitutek Attitude like yours towards Ukrainians existed for centuries. That's largely why Ukrainians fought so many times against Polish occupation. Lwow wasn't a "shitty rathole," because the major reason why Casimir, or whatever his name was, wanted to take a city, was to seize money/gold that accumulated there over the centuries of rule by Ukrainian lords. So take your bullshit somewhere else.

Данило Галицкий был не украинцем--тогда еще не было такого понятия, а русичем! Кто дал украинцам Украину- ответ Советский Союз! У каждого украинца дома должен висеть портрет Хрущева (за Крым) Сталина за приобщение польских територий (Львов) и Брежнева за то что рагулятник перетянул с сел в город Львов( до войны украинцев во Львове было только 5%)

Якщо розмірковувати таким чином як деякі поляки про Львів, то німцям взагалі половину Польщі можна забрати, бо це ще не так давно була їхня територія (Breslau (сучасний ''Wrocław''), Danzig (сучасний ''Gdańsk'') тощо).

Припиніть ці провокації! Львів початково був (заснований укр. князем Данилом) і є укр. містом. Неважливо, якої національності окупанти приходили до цього міста протягом його історії. Львів протягом багатьох років мав вирішальне значення для становлення укр. нац. руху.

Thank you very much for this video. Wonderful pictures of the beautiful city. But also I want to say that most of intelligent Americans know about Eastern and Central Europe- their history and culture.
Some of Americans know more about Ukraine than people who live there know. It depends of people intelligence.
