@fletchers4 Yes, cmc2234 is right: Stevie did do a pinch harmonic while performing Crossfire on NBC's Sunday Night Music. He also did one during his 1985 performance of Voodoo Chile at Montreux.

That would be him. He was with Stevie from 1985 until Stevie's death in August of 1990. One of the best for sure!

you know, i used to think that too, but i just cant get away with it anymore.
i mean, certainly, he was a brilliant, GREAT guitarist, and hes been massively influential, not only to me(in my videos, youll find moments of pure SRV robbery), but to innumerable guitarists all over the world.
now, that being said, i dont know if he could keep up with a guitarist like Robben Ford on more technically complex songs

When you take all things that make a great guitarist into account, especially playing live, when a players talent and capabilities prove what kind of a musician he actually is.
Then without a doubt, there is no finer example than SRV.
