That being said, Yoshimitsu is a badass and can wear whatever he wants because he can turn invisible at will (like in TekKen 3 & 5)

This may come as a surprise to some but most ninjas, when fighting:

1) Wore the same armour samurai wore (except maybe with the hakama tucked in)

2) Carried the same weapons samurai would (no such thing as a ninjato. Most likely would have been a wakizashi or just a regular katana)

3) Would commit seppuku (suicide) via hara-kiri (stomach cut) should they be captured and sensitive information be compromised

Yoshimitsu is more of a Samurai. But in Tekken he does Hara Kiri.A samurai thing. Yoshimitsu is acctually the swords name, the sword is evil and it gets passed down by manji leaders to the next one to be used for good thats how he's in both games, as to why he looks so kick ass, either its some awsome armour or the sword mutates its wielder :D

@Exkild I always thought he was an android, just like Brian Fury. I thought he was created by Dr.B. Although, sum1 will have to verify that lol. But in Tekken 3 he saves Dr.B from his lab when it blows up lol, and in Tekken 5 Yoshimitsu and Brian are enemies. We all knw brain is an android, and im pretty sure that Yoshimitsu is also a robot. i think Yoshimitsu is awsome with the costume from tekken 2 when he looked like a samuri instead of those other ugly costumes he wears now. He was human but after like 25 or 19 years he invaded the mishima zaibatsu one of his arms had been choped off by a lazer bean then dr.B had saved his life by giving him a mechanical arm after that he wanted to not die so he became a andriod
