Just watched it again....to find out which actor was the director....as expected Alex you took the biggest role for yourself! Bet that was a hard casting session !!! :O) !
If you are a THING fan and want a really good laugh take a look at my own video's which include a reposting of a VERY well done (but somewhat rough picture quality) comic "swede" fan film of Carpenter film.
Possibly one of the best Fan films I have ever seen. The acting felt natural for a low budget film and the effects were brilliant for the time you guys had. I especially liked the nod to the promo art of the prequel's poster with the character in the snow at the end in mid transformation. SPOILERS***************My only concern was with the ship flying. not the effects mind you which were again brilliant but the fact that Kate in the prequel damaged it with a grenade when she killed Sander.
Yes,we saw the prequel,but I proposed the idea that UFOs engine intact, but Kate has destroyed some part of it,so...let the viewer decide, may be he can find in it something else.
@AlStiff Ok that makes sense thanks for clearing that up. I'm definitely going to show this to my friend who is another Thing fan. Seriously guys well done, I'd love to see what you guys would do if you had a bigger budget. Good luck to your futures.
@CrazyEnglishman I have only just seen the Film Poster (on a DVD Promo) so only just realised that the ending was a homage to that. Once again well done fellas....
почему так убого вставили людей в проект почему нет цвето-корекции, анимация огня на 2-ку в 3d max есть куча плагинов по эффектам, а так очень смело в этом вы молодцы
@TOER1113 ,убого? За месяц лучше не выйдет,тем более для чего?Мы с этого ровным счётом ничего не поимеем,так что запариваться над каждым кадром-не жалеть время...Мы не Голливуд,где работает над одной сценой 30 человек,а здесь Один,+пиратский софт,вылетающий через раз-много нервов,поверьте)))
-Цветокоррекция-везде буквально,очень жаль,что вы этого не заметили.
Огонь-да,плагинов много,но тот же FumeFX - поставить его на рендер- это значит забить на всё,и сказать "пошло оно всё...")
