thats a solid pull! Sure its a high rack pull (and i love high rack pulls) but lets see anyone whos talking shit pull more from the same height..................it wont happen.
Don't know where you put your glasses mate but that bar is moving an absolute minimum of 6"! it is also bending with the weight so my arms are probably moving 7" or 8"!
Look at the holes in my rack - they are 3" centres - the top of the plates move at least 2 holes - work it out.
@sweetcheaks2 i know they help i was an asshole back then when i commented plus hardly knew shit about lifting, lockouts are awesome when it comes to increasing strength on deadlifts , plus deficits are great too :)
i havent been weight lifting much since im 15 but i do dead lift 365 three time and 405 once and was wondering why you have the bar elevated and is that a weight used for powercleans in the middle of all the weights?
I'm not a powerlifter, and there's no fucking way I could even unrack that much. But this is an honest question: Why do powerlifters use such a short ROM?
if that's a trap bar then it's a double hammer grip.you should be able to do even more with a barbell because of the under and overhand grip combo enabling a more locking effect on the bar.definately try with an olympic barbell.you might do 1,000 that way!!
See, the mixed grip effect of holding a barbell makes it easier because it negates the bar from rotationg and spinning out of your hands. A trap bar typically does not have handles that rotate, so that is not going to make a difference. Try a trap bar sometime - a totally different feel from a barbell DL in both grip and how the pull goes.
Not in this physical universe: The trap bar allows you to use your legs more, and puts shifts the center of gravity closer to the center of your body. Nobody does more on a barbell than with a trap bar.
dont listen to the haters sir!

darock420 3 years ago
Powerlifters are in the sport to move weight. They want as small a ROM as possible, but that is besides the point.
They work on parts of their ROM just like a baseball player would work on his batting footwork.
Combining all the parts to a whole.

What is a good trap bar to buy? Where did you buy that one? I'm looking for a good trap bar at a good price!
dalesalsa 4 years ago
I actually made this one myself.
I would get in touch with some sort of fabrication workshop and get one made to your own spec.
