Sometimes I will only have one mic on drums. Would it be beneficial to separate the low mid and highs into separate channels and then do all my processing?

I tell you what, that tutorial you made a while ago where you Low Cut all the tracks at 400Hz across the mix was invaluable, it's been really useful, so thanks.
Love this video. It's cool to see you go through your whole thought process with this. I kept wanting to check all the other tracks and see everything else. Ha!
One question though. Could you EQ each overhead track separately and add a little more stereo spread to the kit? Or would that start to introduce phase issues? Just a beginner asking questions.
@sixstringnerd at least from my limited experience you want to try to keep the over heads together for phase issues generally hard left and right fore stereo imaging . Then again all is fair in love and audio, it is all trial and error to see what sounds good to you and your clients.
I've just purchased your Xmas EP and it sounds excellent. Please do a tutorial on how you mixed 'Silent Night' from beginning to End. I'd love to see that. Thanks!
I love the recorderman sound. My only criticism is that it tends to be overly dry - which is evidenced by your addition of a bit of plate verb. Overall though it just sounds fantastic.
@buisk that's just an audio quantise thing in pro tools. It just splits the audio track at each beat/peak in audio and tightens it up as little or as much as you want
@tompuce84 The RC-Tube is a saturation plugin that emulates the RC console. It adds a little more warmth and depth to the mix if spread across the channels.
F*** Hell, this is the third time I watch this video and it still is mindblowing. I suppose it's the beginner's amazement.

Love the video, but I was wondering if you can do a tutorial about recording electric guitar?

I love your tutorials, could you perhaps kill the Reverb Bus next time?
I may only speak for myself, but I think it would help me focus on what you are teaching.
Thanks

I don't even record live drums but the idea of subtracting as appose to adding EQ would work for electronic drums kits as well

Great video as always. Any possibility of you covering heavy guitars in a video? It'd be awesome to see your take.

I see that you're puting the RC-Tube plugins everywhere, I suppose it's a kind of pre amp coloration but what is it exactly?
THX for all the vids, they're all pretty awsome.
