Hi Tizzidale,I disagree with you completely, but I dont say that in anger. The catholic church will not come between myself and christ. I choose christ, not catholicity. Kindest regards from Alamo11
Thanks for replying. As you say "the unity of the Eucharist is a proclamation of oneness and Catholicity". But all christians are part of the same body (the body of Christ). Therefore if I am excluded from taking communion at a catholic church, then the body of christ is divided.
If you are not united to the Church that Christ founded, the Catholic Church, then you are not unified with the body of Christ. Catholic means "whole" and that includes the wholeness of apostolic teaching - including the teaching of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. If you affirm all that the Catholic Church affirms, by all means become Catholic and join fully in what Christ established. If you do not, then do not expect to participate in what is a unifying aspect of Catholicity.
Unity is in Christ. I never claimed that the Catholic church is not exclusive. If I am a Catholic in mortal sin, I am excluded from the Eucharist. If I am a Catholic in theological error, I am excluded from the Eucharist. The unity of the Eucharist is a proclamation of oneness and Catholicity. So, yes. It is exclusive.
Hi tizzidale, I am a believer in christ. If the catholic church is not exclusionary does that mean that I would be allowed to take communion in a catholic church? I dont know if I am allowed to.Recards from alamo11
If you are Catholic, yes. The Eucharist is a sign of unity. Unity of faith and unity of expression. If you do not profess the faith of Catholicism, how is there unity?
the glare is cool - the reason everyone gets SO upset is because of the audacity expressed by the Catholic Church and its Pope. If you study the Gospels - and then look at the Epistles - NONE of the churches are in a position to claim that they are the church Christ established - including the Catholic Church. Christ did not set up what the Catholic Church is. I say this with love - GBU and HJD
From the Catholic perspective, all of the local Churches (for example those in the Epistles) are collectively "the Church", whose Bishops are in communion with one another and with the visible center of unity - the Bishop of Rome. Paul called this Church, the "ground and pillar" of Truth. And though an analogy, I would extrapolate that without visible, tangible unity and authority, the Church does not fulfill its mission on Earth.

Great video response to the lies of GUAM. Never think that the video he made was the end of the deception he and his cult try to spread.
