When I buy my next flat screen TV 3D will be one of the considerations! the main question is whether to go for active shutter or passive 3D! as sure as black and white gave way to colour and mono gave way to stereo then surround this is certainly the future.

these things suck,i was not at all impressed,i was hoping for disney mgm studios or universal studios theme park or at least real d quality 3d by now,but nope same old crappy home quality 3d,not impressive at all,but i will say out of all the ones i tried the sony was the absolute worst on of them all ,panasonic 3d plasma was the best ,and the samsung 3d lcd was ok,im saving my money for autostereoscopic displays,like the one in the 3ds,no glasses,and the 3d quality is great,way better than this

@cruzzo666 - i was at a trade show with Sony this weekend, you don't need a 3D program as the sets can convert a 2D input (games/dvds/etc) into 3D, the effect has to be really seen to show just how much of a leap this is.

Sure dedicated 3D Blu-Ray films will look better, but it's nice to know it's backwards compatable.
