I am working on a DVD on this because it takes about an hour to show all of my techniques. I am almost finished with a DVD on dart making that is a lot better quality than this and shows this from many different angles. The explanation is more in depth too. I will post when this is available.
@n3ru You could split if out but if you glue it with hide glue it will split again. I knock out the joints when the cane is green which is easier to do when you wait a day or two after you cut them. You can use a smaller diameter piece of cane or threaded metal rod from a home improvement store. If you want to stay primitive use cane and a slurry of water and sand to sand out the gun and then heat straighten.

Yes! You get about 50 shots from a dart before the thistle fletching wears down and you can not use it anymore!
