@ ctrivelpiece - I realize 250s race 450s and 125s race 250s, but 4 strokes make really good power and they are light.

What I raced was my modded '99 YZ250 (bored Wiseco, Boyesen reeds, FMF pipe and silencer) vs my stock '08 CRF250R. The CRF stomped the YZ. I realize the YZ is older and has a steel frame, but 2 strokes have not progressed technologically like 4 strokes have. Probably an '08 vs and '08 would be a different story, but I don't have 2 '08s... :)

@Red954F4 I have to second "phatboyzpullin". My buddy has a 2011 crf250, and before I sold my 1995 Cr250, we would drag, and i would pull him almost all the time. I even had the opportunity of racing an 06' kx450f, in a flat dead stop drag race, the kx would hook up much better and it did pull me. If it was a rolling start however, it would be neck and neck, resulting in anyone's game.

Do not underestimate the older two strokes.
