  • your uncle was extremely lucky to find it in this condition in 1945 because what they sometimes did was leave some parts out like the bajonet lug or that disc in the back of the stock and sometimes even the rear sight just to make production faster

  • ok well im about to prove oh potsmoker or whatever his name is wrong. The reason none of the numbers match up is because it made it easier for assembly purposes. its not because the parts came from different guns. and another thing there would be no nazi symbols on the stock itself. if there was nazi emblems, it would mean the gun was used for decoration purposes only, and to explain the assembly. it was a lot easier to look for a number than just assemble them by guessin where the parts went.
