definatley the ssd. i'd go for the Q for a little bit more. its worth it. i have a 15 FI Q and it bumps off my stock electrical. go for the ssd or Q over the kicker. it will blow it out of the water!
well the box is so big it would cover the pass thru into the cab. i would turn that facing the back and make a couple big holes by the 6x9's for pressure to escape. but thats cause i have to have the best setup with wat i got.
the sub sonic waves change as you face it back ull hit lower..... i had that same car hitting 148db.....i cut the back dash open cuz it keeped poping like that and put supports to hold it..... i used a sheet meatel cutter
I sold mine to a friend a little while after this video, and its still playing to this day. I have installed a few more and the customers are still happy.
Can u give me the specifics of the box you have im going to order this subwoofer.... o and im kind of new around car audio and im getting the dual 2 ohm and could i hook 2 of the same amps up to it one on each voice coil
I have done several mods to the car since this video. I now has a whole new paintjob, AAS bodykit, and rims.
Also I have a completely new setup in which i need to get videos of soon. In an Alero, it is actually louder firing into the cab. I have done several experiments (i do allot of competing) and I meter .8db louder with the way it currently is.
A bandpass would not work correctly in a trunk car like mine.
Since, this setup, I've had another single 15 doing a 151.1. I now have 2 tens that are burping 150.xx depending on the weather. A few friends and I built a van with a 4th order bandpass wall that does a 160.9
Im runnin the exact same setup except in a wagon. The sub and amp fit perfectly. I just metered it 142.5 before the CD player started skippin 7 seconds into my run, so who knows how loud it can get. Its loud, its smooth, its a great sub.
hey dude nice setup im seriously considering gettin a 15" ssd and hifonics bxi 1206d, with a 3 cu. ft box tuned to 35hz. would u recommend this sub. it sounds great just wanna make sure ur happy with it
I payed $500 for both the sub and amp. To be honest, I couldn't be happier. This sub blows alot of people away for just one 15". Worth every penny. Tip for the box: this sub seems to like alot of port area.
Box is tuned @ 31 hz. The sub is very loud for a 15. I hit 143 dbs on a tl on music with a stock charging system. Your girl will not be dissatsfied with this sub if she has the right box for it.
olds intrigue ftw!!

hey, to wire a FI SSD 18" in parallel to 1 ohm what i have to buy? the DUAL1 or the DUAL2?
GhostFire218 3 months ago
friend who is the amp model and you have connected the two amps or only offer one with low
jony8126 3 months ago
Fi doesn't recommend for that sub to be in a sealed enclosure at all. Also is that box at least 3 cu ft?

Incorrect.
It is 2db louder to face forward in my vehicle. Not every car is louder with the subs facing back.

Thank you some one with some sense!

@tatonkacbw
You would be louder if u sealed the trunk off. :p

Nice sub, i'm looking into getting 2 15" ssd's. You said you hit .8 db higher with the box turned that way. what are you hitting on the term lab?
CourtneyChaos14 3 years ago
have you tried a band pass and face the port through the cabin that would make it a little louder im sure and more clear
