    ursula andress put an end to all that peaches-and-cream look when s he came out of the sea in the first james bond motion picture. that was when the Sixties began, I t hink. in london of t he mid-1960s, it was hip to put on an atlantic accent. In u.s.a. they were putting on a liverpool accent, saying Lurve instead of Love!!! that is how culture travels. nice, innit?

  • Cher is great in this version but this song belongs to young Marianne Faithfull.

  • @afacethatcouldsell I agree. This song doesn't work unless the singer projects an air of innocence. Marianne had that. Cher never did.
